Thinking about making a post of the cats I had to photograph this month when it ended. But the truth is that, with more than a week still to go before its completion, the amount of recent photos of these wonderful animals was already more than enough to justify sitting in front of my PC to select, process, and edit the images I have captured. So that is what this post is about: my "June cats" for you here on #Hive...

Pensaba hacer una publicación de los gatos que había de fotografiar este mes cuando el mismo terminase. Pero la verdad es que, faltando aún más de una semana para su finalización, ya la cantidad de fotos recientes de estos maravillosos animales era más que suficiente para justificar el sentarme en frente de mi PC a seleccionar, procesar y editar las imágenes que he capturado. Así que de eso va esta publicación: mis "gatos de junio" para ustedes aquí en #Hive...

As I have said on previous occasions, the vast majority, if not all, of the cats that appear in my photos may be on any street in the town, but that does not mean they are exactly street or wild cats; rather, despite roaming the streets, all of them have some bond with some family house, with some group of neighbors, with the workers of some business, or entities such as schools. That is to say, they have a space with humans who can care for them in some way, but at the same time, they retain the freedom to roam at pleasure in various spaces...

Tal como he dicho en oportunidades anteriores, la gran mayoría, si no todos, de los gatos que aparecen en mis fotos pueden estar en una calle cualquiera del pueblo, pero no por eso son exactamente gatos de calle o salvajes, sino que, a pesar de deambular por las calles, todos ellos tienen algún lazo con alguna casa de familia, con algún grupo de vecinos, con los trabajadores de algún negocio o entidades como escuelas. Es decir, tienen un espacio con humanos que los pueden, de alguna manera, cuidar, pero al mismo tiempo conservan la libertad de deambular a placer en diversos espacios...

Another thing I like to highlight is that I practically do not see purebred cats on the streets of my town (and even inside family homes they are also scarce); instead, the cats here have very diverse coats, and most of them have tabby patterns, those that have an "M" over their eyes. It is also possible to estimate that a quarter of those cats have coats with a shade of some orange color, which are, by the way, my favorites...

Otra cosa que me gusta resaltar es que prácticamente no veo gatos de razas puras en las calles de mi pueblo (e incluso dentro de las casas de familia también son escasos), sino que los gatos aquí son de pelajes muy diversos y la mayoría de ellos con patrones atigrados, de esos que tienen una "M" sobre sus ojos. También es posible estimar que una cuarta parte de esos gatos son de pelaje con un color de algún tono naranja, los cuales son, por cierto, mis favoritos...
