There is not always placidity in my street walks, not always a photo expressing the right thing, no... Sometimes there is simply something indicating chaos, something which can talk about things happening in "reverse"...

No siempre hay placidez en mi recorridos callejeros, no siempre es una foto expresando lo correcto, no... Algunas veces simplemente hay algo que indica caos, algo que puede hablar acerca de cosas sucediendo en "sentido inverso"...

Some of these photos and my "mood of the day" are deeply intertwined. In others perhaps it is something that I observe and "explodes in my face" as if what I perceive in the image communes expressly, instantaneously and precisely with some sense of decadence floating in the streets.

Algunas de estas fotos y mi "humor del día" están profundamente entrelazados. En otras quizás se trata de algo que observo y "me estalla en la cara" como si aquello percibido en la imagen comulgase de forma expresa, instantánea y precisa con alguna sensación de decadencia flotante en las calles.

Photography serves to express oneself, it's not something new nor am I obviously discovering it. Photography when it goes beyond the casual capture becomes a tool of back and forth, where the photographer makes the photo and the photo reveals something of the photographer. So maybe these photos are something close to that.

La fotografía sirve para expresarse, es no es algo nuevo ni lo estoy descubriendo yo obviamente. La fotografía cuando va más allá de la captura casual se convierte en una herramienta de ida y vuelta, en donde el fotógrafo hace la foto y la foto revela algo del fotógrafo. Entonces estas fotos quizás son algo cerca de eso

I'm somehow in these photos. In my complex universe of limited expressive capacity I often use images to express protest, sadness, confusion, and even joy.... That's why I take street photos, because it is in the streets where the nuances appear spontaneous, diverse and unexpected with every meter walked. From there I take them, enclose them and turn them into my statements. Maybe that's why I also use to title each photo.

Estoy de alguna manera en estas fotos. En mi complejo universo de limitada capacidad expresiva suelo usar imágenes para expresar protesta, tristeza, confusión e incluso alegría... Es por eso que hago fotos callejeras, porque es en las calles donde los matices aparecen espontáneos, diverso es inesperados con cada metro recorrido. De allí los tomo, los encierro y los convierto en mis enunciados. Es quizás por eso que también suelo titular cada foto.

I know I may be sounding a little strange to some people here. Because these are perhaps "different" lines than expected to accompany an article about black and white street photography. But after all, it's not by chance that I am called here: "The crazy guy with the camera in his hand" (well, the kids call me "Mr. crazy guy with the camera in his hand"), but perhaps many of you have seen my other publications and know how I usually nurture my content with my thoughts almost always intertwined, trying to organize them to share here.

Ya sé que quizás estoy sonando un poco extraño para algunos aquí. Pues estas quizás son líneas distintas a las esperada para acompañar un articulo sobre fotografía callejera en blanco y negro. Pero después de todo, no es casual que aquí me digan: "El loco de la cámara en la mano" (bueno, los niños me dicen "El señor loco con la cámara en la mano"), pero quizás seguramente muchos de ustedes han visto mis otras publicaciones y saben como acostumbro a nutrir mi contenido con mis pensamientos casi siempre entreverados, intentando organizarlos para compartirlos aquí.

Do you see this picture above? It's a beautiful little dog tied up in the yard of a house, which faces the street without walls... This is what I mean when I say "reverse town"! Is there anything more perverse than having an animal tied up like this? Not in vain the good Diogenes is credited with the phrase: "The more I know men, the more I love my dog "...

¿Ven esta foto de arriba?... Es una hermosa perrita atada en un patio de una casa, el cual da sin paredes hacia la calle... ¡A esto me refiero cuando digo "pueblo inverso"!... ¿Existe algo más perverso que tener así atado a un animal?... No en balde al buen Diógenes se le atribuye la frase:"Cuanto más conozco a los hombres, más quiero a mi perro"...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}

_{NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
