These are photos of the streets of Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela) taken during these days when the town seems to move more slowly than ever. These are the days that repeat themselves every April, when the sky turns gray but it doesn't rain, the air becomes humid and dense, almost difficult to breathe. Then the town seems frozen in time, and each photo has a sense of negative space, of a found emptiness, of "absence," perhaps. As if someone had taken something from the town's streets and replaced it with a certain legible void. Or perhaps it's just me, simply observing and interpreting, through my own thoughts, the streets of this town I walk through every day...

Estas son fotos de calles de Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela) en estos días en los que el pueblo parecer moverse más lentamente que nunca. Son estos días que se repiten en cada Abril de cada año, en los cuales el se vuelve gris pero no llueve, el aire se llena de humedad y se hace denso, casi difícil de respirar. Entonces el pueblo parece detenido en el tiempo y cada foto tiene algo de espacio negativo, de vacío encontrado, de "ausencia" quizás podría decirse. Como sí a las calles del pueblo alguien les hubiese quitado algo y lo hubiese sustituido con cierta vaciedad legible. O quizás soy yo, simplemente mirando y entendiendo desde mis pensamientos las calles de este pueblo que atravieso a diario...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
