Almost always, things on the streets of my town happen in "glimpses"... They are just brief spaces of time during which a door opens, a face smiles, a dog stops, an old car appears, or perhaps the light is simply just right and one is at the right distance... That, more or less, is what it is like to walk through the streets taking photographs which, usually, appear and disappear even capriciously, before my eyes... So, over the years I have learned to appreciate and take advantage of those brief, everyday glimpses in my streets...

Casi siempre las cosas en las calles de mi pueblo, suceden en "atisbos"... Son apenas breves espacios de tiempo durante los cuales una puerta se abre, un rostro sonríe, un perro se detiene, aparece un auto viejo, o quizás simplemente la luz es la adecuada y uno está a la distancia precisa... Así, poco más o menos, es esto de ir por las calles haciendo fotografías las cuales, acostumbran a aparecer y desaparecer incluso de manera caprichosa, en frente de mis ojos... Entonces, con el paso de los años he aprendido a apreciar y aprovechar esos atisbos breves y cotidianos en mis calles...

Over the years I have become a "space seeker" or perhaps a "space finder" to put it with some poetic license I suppose... Although perhaps I am both things "finder and seeker" at the same time, on the same street, in the same look, the same camera and a single "click"... But the truth of all this is that I end up looking at the streets as a whirlwind of fables happening, or memories, or omens... Whatever it is, but it always ends up becoming one more photo for me...

Yo me he ido convirtiendo con el paso de los años en un "buscador de espacios" o quizás en un "encontrador de espacios" por decirlo con algo de licencia poética supongo... Aunque quizás soy ambas cosas "econtrador y buscador" a un mismo tiempo, en una misma calle, en una misma mirada, una misma cámara y un solo "click"... Pero lo cierto de todo esto, es que termino mirando las calle como un torbellino de fábulas ocurriendo, o de recuerdos, o presagios... Lo que sea, pero siempre termina convirtiéndose en una foto más para mi...

To this town, to these streets, more accurately; from time to time, it's a good thing to allow them the colors. It doesn't matter if they're not neat, it doesn't matter if they look faded and tired; sometimes, colors must be there to say a few words. Especially when they are colors that speak of time and forgetfulness; then they too are a "glimpse" into the soul of some streets before our eyes...

A este pueblo, a estas calles mejor dicho; de vez en cuando es cosa buena permitirle los colores. No importa que no sean prolijos, no importa que luzcan mustios y cansados; algunas veces los colores deben estar allí para decir algunas palabras. En especial cuando son colores que hablan de tiempo y de olvido; entonces ellos también son un "atisbo" hacia el alma de algunas calles ante nuestros ojos...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
