I like to call the hills east of my house "my backyard" because I can reach these places and climb high enough to see the village valley from above, just walking for about 20 or 25 minutes from my front door... That's why, when I was a little boy about 8 years old, I used to tell my mom and grandma "I'll be back in a bit, I'm going to my other backyard" and then I would come here to look at the same things I love to see here now: Animals, landscapes, country people, nature and much more...

Me gusta llamar a las colinas al Este de mi casa "mi patio trasero", porque puedo llegar a estos lugares y ascender los suficiente como para ver el valle del pueblo desde lo alto, caminando apenas solo unos 20 o 25 minutos desde la puerta de mi casa... Es por eso que, cuando yo era un niño de uno 8 años de edad, solía decir a mi madre y a mi abuela "vuelvo en un rato, voy a mi otro patio de atrás" y entonces venía hasta aquí a mirar lo mismo que amo ver ahora aquí: Animales, paisajes, gente de campo, naturaleza y mucho más...

I'm a lucky guy, despite having lived in a country full of problems forever... I have my old camera, my old lenses, my old shoes, and a lot of time to take photographs... I spend very little money on myself; my children have grown up and are looking after themselves. Plus, I live in this small, sometimes strange town full of streets full of things going on and plenty of rural spaces and nature to wander around at leisure... I can go around talking to myself or to animals; it doesn't matter, people already know I'm like that and don't try to stop it; on the contrary, they seem to enjoy it quite a bit... All this is good, certainly...

Soy un tipo con suerte a pesar de vivir desde siempre en un país repleto de problemas... Tengo mi vieja cámara, mis viejos lentes, mis viejos zapatos y un montón de tiempo para hacer fotografías... Vivo gastando muy poco dinero en mi mismo, mis hijos han crecido y se valen por ellos mismo. Además, vivo en este pequeño y a veces extraño pueblo repleto de calles con cosas ocurriendo y un montón de espacios rurales y naturaleza para deambular a placer... Puedo ir de aquí para allá hablando conmigo mismo o con animales; no importa, la gente ya sabe que soy así y no intentan evitarlo; por el contrario, parece que lo disfrutan bastante... Todo esto es bueno, ciertamente...

I took all these photos yesterday morning during a leisurely walk of just over a couple of hours, observing everything around me and enjoying this place, which for everyone here seems like an everyday occurrence, but for me every time I come here, it transforms into fables, small miracles, visions, and even peace... I still think I'm a lucky guy, despite the vicissitudes...

Todas estas fotos las hice ayer en la mañana durante una caminata de poco más de un par de horas, hecha con parsimonia, mientras iba observando todo a mi alrededor y disfrutando este lugar el cual para todos aquí parece algo cotidiano, pero para mi cada vez que vengo aquí, se transforma en fábulas, pequeños milagros, visiones e incluso paz... Sigo, por lo tanto, pensando que soy un tío con suerte a pesar de las vicisitudes...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
