Always do this a few days after finishing any given month. I do it because I like to review my RAW files and find those photos which, for different reasons, I have left unprocessed, unedited, and unshared. And I generally work on those photos differently than I do with the majority of my photographs taken on the streets. These, resulting from these periodic reviews, I like to process in color, and I make additional adjustments aimed at generating some additional impact and visual drama. And that is what I have done this Sunday afternoon, in which I have had some free time, and I am sharing now with you here on #Hive...

Siempre hago esto a los pocos días de haber terminado un mes cualquiera. Lo hago porque me gusta revisar mis archivos RAW y encontrar esas fotos las cuales, por diferentes razones, he dejado sin procesar, editar y compartir. Generalmente, trabajo en esas fotos de manera distinta a como lo hago con la mayoría de mis fotografías hechas en las calles. Estas, resultantes de estas revisiones periódicas, me gusta procesarlas en color e introducir ajustes adicionales orientados a generar algo de impacto y drama visual adicional. Y eso es lo que he hecho en esta tarde de domingo en la cual he tenido algo de tiempo libre y estoy compartiendo ahora con ustedes aquí en #Hive...

Many of these photos remained unreleased until now, for reasons such as: being part of a sequence of photos from which I had already selected another, not seeming suitable for processing in black and white (the way I do more than 80% of my photos, I think), being curiously abstract, not understanding them (yes, I have days when that happens to me, believe me), not fitting into the theme of my preferences for the day, and who knows how many more reasons product of the emotional burden that making and then working on street photographs can have in a place that I walk through almost daily..

Muchas de estas fotos quedaron inéditas hasta ahora, por causas como: ser parte de una secuencia de fotos en la cual ya había seleccionado otra, no parecerme adecuadas para procesar en blanco y negro (la manera en la cual hago más del 80% de mis fotos, creo), ser curiosamente abstractas, no entenderlas (sí, tengo días en los que me pasa eso, créanme), no encajar en la temática de mis preferencias del día, y quién sabe cuántas más razones producto de la propia carga emotiva que puede tener el hacer y luego trabajar sobre fotografías callejeras en un lugar el cual recorro casi a diario...
