Today is one of those days when everything seems to be going wrong. The heat is intense, the people around seem to want to get even with the weather by saying silly things, at the worst time and in the worst place... Or is it just me flaunting character flaws and being on one of "those days"?... I don't know what the truth of it all is... But here I am again in my "daily catharsis", travelling through my photos, sitting in front of my PC, trying to chase away my grey thoughts...

Hoy es uno de esos días en los que todo parece estar saliendo mal. El calor es intenso, la gente alrededor parece querer desquitarse del clima diciendo cosas tontas, en el peor momento y en el peor lugar... ¿O acaso seré yo haciendo alarde de mis máculas de carácter y estando en uno "de esos días"?... No sé cual es la verdad de todo esto... Pero aquí estoy de nuevo en mi "catarsis cotidiana", viajando a través de mis fotos sentado en frente de mi PC, procurando ahuyentar mis pensamientos grises...

The thing is, it works for me. I mean, sitting in front of my PC, selecting a handful of pictures and then spending a couple of hours editing them on my own taste. That's something that gradually calms me down, so much so that at the end of the process I can smile a little and write a few lines here on #Hive to accompany my photos. The other thing that pleases me a lot is to put those little captions at the bottom of each photo. They tell a little bit about me and the relationship I have with my streets and my people, I guess.

El caso es que a mi me funciona. Digo, sentarme en frente de mi PC, seleccionar un puñado de fotografías y luego pasar un par de horas editando estas a placer. Eso es algo lo cual me sosiega paulatinamente, tanto que al final del proceso puedo sonreír un poco y dedicarme a escribir aquí en #Hive unas cuantas lineas para acompañar mis fotos. La otra cosa que me place un montón es poner esos pequeños títulos al pie de cada foto. Ellos hablan un poco acerca de mí y de la relación que tengo con mis calles y mi pueblo, supongo.

When the photos are like this, with a certain amount of drama and of course street photography, then they are photos which in my mind I already call " #monomad photos"... Yes, to that extent I have loved this #Hive monochrome corner so much, that I already have that kind of "classification" for some of my photos when I look at the scene and immediately understand that this are meant to be here.

Cuando las fotos son así como estas, revestidas de cierto drama y por supuesto callejeras, entonces son fotos las cuales en mi mente ya suelo nombrar "fotos #monomad"... Sí, hasta ese punto me ha encantado tanto este rincón monocromático de #Hive, que ya tengo esa especie de "clasificación" para algunas de mis fotos cuando al mirar la escena, de inmediato entiendo que están destinadas a estar aquí.

It's funny, but since I've been doing this (posting black and white photos in #monomad) I tend to write a lot more than before... I turned it into a ritual I think, there's something of "personal growth" in all this... It is like if, I had always wanted to do this kind of articles but I didn't have a place to do them before... That's perhaps one of the most fascinating reasons I have for perceiving #Hive as an impossible place to repeat when you like to create... That's why I applaud when I see others "taking good care" of this fantastic space in web 3.0... May we continue to grow and be here, it's a good thing for everyone.

Es curioso, pero desde que hago esto (publicar fotos en blanco y negro en #monomad) suelo escribir mucho más que antes... Lo convertí en un ritual creo, hay algo de "crecimiento personal" en todo esto... Es como sí, siempre hubiera querido hacer este tipo de artículos pero antes no tenía un lugar en donde hacerlos... Esa es quizás una de las razones más fascinantes que tengo para percibir a #Hive como un lugar imposible de igualar cuando te gusta crear... Por eso aplaudo cuando miro a otros "cuidar esmeradamente" este espacio fantástico en web 3.0... Ojalá sigamos creciendo y estando aquí, es algo bueno para todos.

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
