These are photos taken on the morning of this Easter Sunday (or "Resurrection Sunday," as this commemorative date is also called here)... Curiously, the town seemed to wake up just as slowly as on other Sundays. I suppose the change in the timing of rituals like the blessing of the water to the afternoon has given us this air of normality on a day which, as I recall, was very different from how the streets looked in my childhood and youth. However, this didn't mean there weren't plenty of kind people wishing me a happy Easter in the streets, although most of them were elderly and also known to be involved with the workings of our local church. Personally, it seems to me that since the beginning of this century, the arrival of new governments has fostered a certain level of secularism in society, and this has resulted in the more recent generations not celebrating or commemorating these dates with the same fervor that was felt here until the end of the 20th century. However, I know that by this afternoon, the town's streets will regain some of what they once were. But, be that as it may, I decided to head out early to "capture some stories with my camera" 😃📷 and what you'll see below is the result of my early morning wanderings through the streets this Easter Sunday, so please come on in and enjoy this photo series for you today on #Hive...

Estas son fotos hecha en la mañana de este Domingo de Pascua (o "Domingo de Resurrección" como también se le llama aquí a esta fecha conmemorativa)... Curiosamente, el pueblo pareció despertar igual de lento que en otros Domingos. Supongo que el cambio de horario de la celebración de ritos como la bendición del agua a horarios de la tarde, ha hecho que tengamos este aire de normalidad en un día el cual, según yo recuerdo, era muy distinto como se veían las calles en tiempos de mi niñez y juventud. Sin embargo, no por esto faltaron las personas amables deseándome una feliz pascua en las calles, aunque la mayoría de ella eran personas mayores y al mismo tiempo conocidamente relacionadas con el funcionamiento de nuestra iglesia local. Particularmente, me parece que el desde principios de este siglo, la llegada de nuevos gobiernos ha propiciado cierto nivel de laicismo en la sociedad y esto ha redundado en que las generaciones más recientes no celebren o conmemoren estas fechas con el mismo fervor que se percibía aquí hasta finales del siglo XX. Sin embargo, sé que ya en la tarde de hoy, las calles del pueblo recuperarán algo de eso que se veía en los tiempos de antaño. Pero, sea como sea, yo decidí salir temprano a las calles a "robar algunas historias con mi cámara" 😃📷 y lo que verán a continuación es el resultado de mi deambular matutino por las calles de este Domingo de Pascua, así que por favor pasen adelante y disfruten de esta serie fotografía para ustedes hoy en #Hive...
