Yesterday was a busy day; I spent practically the entire morning shopping for household items, and then at noon, I helped my wife prepare everything she needed for a small kiosk selling her handicrafts. The kiosk will be located in the town's main square starting very early today, Saturday, as the municipality will be holding various cultural activities there over the weekend. So, I ended up taking a very late shower and eating lunch, and it wasn't until 5:30 PM that I had some free time to go into my little studio and sit in front of my computer to look at my photos, edit them, and then create this post to share with you here on #Hive...

Ayer fue un día atareado; prácticamente ocupé toda la mañana en hacer compras de cosas para el hogar y luego del mediodía, estuve ayudando a mi esposa a preparar lo necesario para un pequeño quiosco de venta de sus artesanías, el cual estará colocado en la plaza principal del pueblo desde muy temprano hoy Sábado, pues la municipalidad realizará diversas actividades culturales allí durante el fin de semana. Así que, terminé duchándome y almorzando con mucho retraso y no fue sino hasta las 5:30 PM cuando tuve tiempo libre para meterme en mi pequeño estudio y sentarme en frente de mi PC a mirar mis fotos, editarlas y luego crear esta publicación para compartir con ustedes aquí en #Hive...

I wanted to select some of my photographs taken in the countryside last October. It's always good for me to do this kind of review of my archives and find those photos that, for some reason, end up being left behind unprocessed and unedited. So, this time, what I did was dedicate myself to editing each photo with some creative license. These were photos taken on cloudy mornings, so I decided to "attempt" a little against the typical low-contrast vision of this type of atmosphere and work the light level curves boldly and generously. I also shifted many dark green tones to slightly warmer tones. All of this gave me an excellent couple of hours working on my photos and a visual result that I'm quite pleased with.

Quise seleccionar algunas de mis fotografías hechas en el campo el pasado Octubre. Siempre es bueno para mi hacer este tipo de revisiones en mis archivos y encontrar esas fotos las cuales por alguna razón terminan quedando rezagadas sin procesar ni editar. Entonces, esta vez, lo que hice fue dedicarme a editar cada foto con cierta licencia creativa. Se trata de fotos hechas en mañanas nubladas, así que decidí "atentar" un poco contra la típica visión poco contrastante de este tipo de atmósfera y trabajar las curvas de nivel lumínico de manera atrevida y generosa. Además, viré muchos tonos verdes obscuros a tonos ligeramente más cálidos. Todo esto me proporciono un excelente par de horas trabajando en mis fotos y un resultado visual que me ha agradado bastante.

The countryside here in Montalbán, especially on a foggy morning, always provides a wealth of opportunities for these types of photographs, where drama, abstraction, complexity, nature, and rurality all occur in the same visual plane. These aren't always easy photos to take, as lighting is always tricky in these weather conditions, but it's absolutely delightful to sit back and exercise my creativity by processing and editing these photos afterwards.

El campo aquí en Montalbán, especialmente cuando se trata de una mañana con niebla, brinda siempre un montón de oportunidades para hacer este tipo de fotografías donde hay drama, abstracción, complejidad, naturaleza y ruralismo ocurriendo todo en un mismo plano visual... No son siempre fotos fáciles de hacer, pues la luminosidad es siempre complicada en estas condiciones climáticas, pero es totalmente encantador sentarse posteriormente a ejercitar mi creatividad procesando y editando estas fotos...
