"CLOSING TIME" - Photography and thoughts | ENG-ESP

Some say that when a person becomes wise, he begins to realise how spontaneous the way things happen is and begins to see life as: "A series of events projected onto his consciousness".... So I suppose, photography is perhaps one of the paths that lead to the threshold of such a heightened perception of everyday events.

And there is a stage in photography when one feels (and I say this without any smugness or arrogance on my part) as if one is "a bit elevated above the things that are happening, as if looking at everything from a dominant and distant plane"....

Then things just happen around us and sometimes we seem to find cracks where time slips through and offers us images out of the present context, as if migrated from previous years, as if they had passed through those imagined portals.

And the conviction comes from where one stops wishing that that and that were one way or another, one begins to observe how, by simple instinct, life begins to take on that tinge of imbued banality and the doors of detachment open to us perhaps timidly.

I believe that it doesn't only happen with taking photos, I imagine that others follow the paths of other charming vices, which go from capturing the lines of the wing to painting and composing melodies, perhaps assembling things, or collecting others... Surely this is how it happens, that many of the relatively laudable hobbies, are narrow paths that lead us to the threshold of a longed-for understanding of the futility of the thorns and thistles of life, stubborn in its pains and joys.

Like a trova, like a poem, a song, or even more simply, like a photo "enclosing time".

You know something? I enjoyed reading the words than looking at the pictures you shared which in every way expressed your words even more.

Photography sure do make us feel we are viewing things from a dominant point... I know that feeling very well 🙂

This is beautifully written, thanks for sharing... I got here from Qurator's discord channel 😎

Yeah sir you're right. Is like the moment preserves and discover by us, then through our lens share for more people to know what it looks like during the past ( maybe future) as well. By now we see is this, might be different for the future to see about it.

Photography is a memory that preserves in time and can be remember for the others in the future ( or future generations ) . So do videography that can record voices and actions ( from their loves one ). Is a gadget / technology that given to us from our ancestor. And we should continue it and give it to our future. You're most welcome sir @jlinaresp .
