Yesterday afternoon we had no rain, but an ambient temperature of about 36°C and extremely high humidity made the air feel thick and even difficult to breathe 😓 So, after lunch, I decided to take a short walk through the wooded areas along the banks of the narrow river that runs west through our town... I took my camera and my old 100mm fixed macro lens with me, as I know that insects and other creatures seem to be more active when we have this kind of weather and it's the rainy season... So it was that I ended up wandering on the riverbanks, sweating profusely, while a few mosquitoes seemed to want to drain all the blood from my neck and arms 😂... But there was certainly plenty to photograph, so I happily accepted the bites! 🤷‍♂

Durante el mediodía de ayer no tuvimos lluvias, pero una temperatura ambiente de unos 36°C y un nivel de humedad altísimo, hacía que el aire se sintiese denso e incluso difícil de respirar 😓 Así qué, después de almorzar, decidí dar un corto paseo por las áreas boscosas en las márgenes del angosto río que atraviesa nuestro municipio hacia el Oeste... Llevé conmigo mi cámara y mi viejo lente macro fijo de 100mm, pues sé que los insectos y otras criaturas parecen estar más activos cuando tenemos este tipo de clima y es temporada de lluvias... Así fue como terminé deambulado en las orillas del río, sudando copiosamente, mientras algunos mosquitos parecían querer extraer toda la sangre de mi cuello y brazos 😂... ¡Pero ciertamente habían bastante que fotografiar, así que acepté con gusto las picaduras! 🤷‍♂

En lugar de hacer macro fotografías simples, muy cercanas, la cuales quizás mostrasen plenamente las características de cada criatura. Terminé haciendo un tipo de fotos más bien de tipo close-up en las cuales procuré incluir elementos adicionales los cuales generasen algún tipo de ruptura visual interesante. Después de todo ¡no por estar e la naturaleza dejo de comportarme como un fotógrafo de calle! 😀... Adicionalmente, este tipo de fotos me sirvió una vez estando procesándolas en ni PC, para satisfacer el anhelo de construir ensambles de dos versiones de la misma fotos, una a color y otra desaturada y adicionalmente modificada como un "espejo", con este tipo de motivos más naturales, pues hasta ahora había hecho este tipo de experimento creativo con fotos de elementos mayormente encontrados en las calles de mi pueblo... ¡Así que de esta manera fue como surgió ests post para ustedes en #Hive! 😀♦️👍...

Instead of taking simple, very close-up macro photographs, which perhaps would have fully shown the characteristics of each creature, I ended up taking more close-up photos in which I tried to include additional elements that would generate some kind of interesting visual break. After all, just because I'm in nature doesn't stop me from behaving like a street photographer! 😀... Additionally, this type of photos once served me, while processing them on my PC, to satisfy the desire to build assemblies of two versions of the same photos, one in color and another desaturated and additionally modified as a "mirror", with this type of more natural motifs, because until now I had done this type of creative experiment with photos of elements mostly found in the streets of my town... So this is how this post for you all on #Hive came about! 😀♦️👍...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7

NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape v3.7
