I had a fitful night's sleep; sales haven't been great lately, and many clients haven't paid their outstanding invoices. So, it's been a bit of a challenging time, because despite expectations, inflation and other adverse economic factors are still very much present here. Perhaps because of all this, I didn't get a good night's rest and woke up a little late, still feeling tired. But as soon as I stepped out into our backyard, I noticed how blue the sky was and the complete absence of clouds. So, I decided to counteract my fatigue with a quick walk into the nearby hills. And I had to do this quickly, because if I waited until the sun was high in the sky, the heat would surely become almost unbearable...

Tuve una noche de sueño entrecortado, las ventas no están muy buenas estos últimos días y además, muchos clientes no han cancelado sus facturas pendientes. Así que son días un poco complicados, pues a pesar de las expectativas, la inflación y otros factores económicos adversos siguen estando presentes aquí en gran medida. Quizás debido a todo esto no tuve una noche con buen descanso y desperté un poco tarde y sintiéndome aún cansado. Pero apenas al salir a nuestro patio trasero, me percate de cuan azul estaba el cielo y de la ausencia total de nubes en este. Así que decidí contrarrestar mi sensación de cansancio con una rápida caminata hacia las colinas cercanas. Y esto tuve que hacerlo rápidamente, pues si esperaba a que el tiempo corriera y eso sol estuviese muy alto en el horizonte, seguramente el calor sería poco menos que insoportable...

Once on the dirt road, I began to feel my energy returning as I walked, taking photos of the pastures and the foothills, and—of course—taking advantage of the fantastic, perfectly clear blue sky we had that morning in the valley. While doing this, I decided to dedicate some time to photographing the leafless trees against the backdrop of that blue sky. Because here we are in the middle of the dry season, and many tree species lose their leaves completely. Although it all depends on the tree species, it seems, as some are flowering profusely, others have new shoots in exquisite shades of green, and even some have renewed dark green foliage, not to mention those with seed pods or those that have simply completed their life cycle and are completely dead. I tried to take some photos of all of this, and these you will see below are just a sample, as I took many more and will be sharing them later here on my #Hive blog...

Una vez en el camino de tierra, comencé a sentir como mi energía parecía volver mientras caminaba y hacía algunas fotos de pastizales y del pie de las colinas y -por supuesto- aprovechando el fantástico cielo azul y perfectamente limpio que teníamos esta mañana en el valle. Y mientras hacía esto, decidí dedicar parte de mi tiempo a hacer algunas fotos de los árboles deshojados usando como fondo dicho cielo azul. Porque aquí estamos en plena estación seca, y entonces muchas especies de árboles pierden su folla totalmente. Aunque todo depende de que especie de árbol sea me parece, pues los hay también floreciendo profusamente, otros con brotes noveles de primorosos tonos verdes, e incluso algunos con renovado follaje verde oscuro, sin dejar de nombrar aquellos que tienen vainas de semillas o los que simplemente ya cumplieron su ciclo vital y están muertos en su totalidad. De todo esto procuré hacer algunas fotos y estas que verán a continuación son apenas una muestra, pues hice muchas otras y las estaré compartiendo luego también aquí en mi blog de #Hive...

And as expected, my attention also drifted to other, more specific details of the path and its surroundings. The way a good walk to a place we like can become such an excellent "energizing therapy" never ceases to amaze me, and it's something I think we should all have the opportunity to do frequently, whenever we feel the need...

Y como era de esperarse, mi atención también se desvió hacia otros detalles más puntuales del camino y sus alrededores. En realidad, la manera en la que una buena caminata hacia un lugar que nos guste puede convertirse en una excelente "terapia energizante", es algo que nunca deja de sorprenderme y lo cual me parece todos deberíamos tener la posibilidad de hacer con frecuencia y cada vez que lo consideremos necesario...

And, as you might expect, I also found some photos to take, which seemed perfect to convert to black and white from the moment they were taken...

Y, como no podría ser de otra manera, también encontré algunas fotos para hacer, las cuales me parecieron perfectas para poner en blanco y negro desde el momento mismo de su captura...

My goal of clearing my mind and regaining my energy was more than achieved thanks to this morning walk, during which I dedicated myself to taking photographs. So when I began to notice a rise in temperature and an increase in solar radiation, I decided to head back, although along the way I also took more photos of those interesting trees against the blue sky...

Mi objetivo de despejar mi mente y recuperar mi energía, quedó más que cumplido gracias a esta caminata matutina durante la cual me dediqué a hacer fotografías. Así que cuando comencé a notar algún incremento de temperatura y el incremento de la radiación solar, decidí emprender el camino de vuelta, aunque durante este, también hice más fotos de esos interesantes árboles con el cielo azul de fondo...
