Hello dear #Hive friends, today I have to share with you a series of monochromatic photographs whose theme and style is different from what I usually share here in the #Monomad challenge several times during the week. This time it's a selection of photographs taken on a country road during a foggy morning, when wanting to go out to make macros of dew-covered spider webs, I ended up taking a lot of other types of photographs as well.

Hola a todos queridos amigos de #Hive, hoy tengo para compartir con ustedes una serie de fotografías monocromáticas cuyo tema y estilo se aleja de lo que acostumbro a compartir aquí en el reto #Monomad varias veces durante la semana. Esta vez se trata de una selección de fotografías realizadas en un camino rural durante una mañana con niebla, cuando queriendo salir a hacer macros de telarañas cubiertas de rocío, terminé haciendo también gran cantidad de fotografías de otro tipo.

This charming bird is a male specimen of a species known here as "Chirri" (Volatinia jacarina). I know it is a male specimen because they have the habit of perching on a branch and trilling while doing somersaults in the air. They do this to attract the attention of females and also to challenge other males in their territory.

Esta encantadora ave es un ejemplar macho de una especie denominada aquí como "Chirrí" (Volatinia jacarina). Sé que se trata de un ejemplar macho pues estos tienen por costumbre posarse en alguna rama y dedicarse a trinar mientras hacen volteretas en el aire. Esto lo hacen para llamar la atención de las hembras y también para desafiar a otros machos en su territorio.

The day I took these photos I had a 100mm fixed macro lens on my camera, so you can assume that I tried my best to capture them despite not having the right optics for this kind of photos.

El día que tomé estas fotos llevaba en mi cámara un lente macro de focal 100mm fija y no estabilizado, así que pueden suponer que me esforcé al máximo para capturarlas a pesar de no contar con la óptica adecuada para este tipo de fotos.

It was just 7:00 AM and a dense fog made the sky look absolutely white, besides the edge of the road where this bird was performing pirouettes and trilling facing east, so the clarity coming from the horizon made me face a very intense backlight effect.

Eran apenas las 7:00 AM y una densa niebla hacía que el cielo luciese absolutamente blanco, además la orilla del camino en donde estaba esta ave realizando piruetas y trinando, daba hacia el Este, por lo tanto la claridad proveniente del horizonte me hizo enfrentar un efecto de contraluz muy intenso.

A dancing bird against the light, dry branches without foliage and an almost absolutely white sky.... Wow, the perfect recipe to dedicate yourself to take pictures in black and white!... (At least that's what happened in my "very monochromatic head" when I saw all this in front of me).

Un ave danzarina a contra luz, ramas secas sin follaje y un cielo casi absolutamente blanco... ¡Caray, la receta perfecta para dedicarse a hacer fotos destinadas al blanco y negro!... (Al menos así ocurrió en mi "muy monocromática cabeza" al ver todo esto ante mi).

I was there for about 30 minutes shooting photos on this bird which kept doing its pirouettes during all that time. It's really amazing to see the amount of energy that these little birds can display.... I think by the end of the "photo session" I was more tired than that little feathered acrobat!

Estuve allí unos 30 minutos disparando fotos hacia esta ave la cual se mantuvo haciendo sus piruetas durante todo ese tiempo. Es algo realmente asombroso apreciar la gran cantidad de energía que esas pequeñas aves pueden desplegar... ¡Creo que al final de la "sesión de fotos" yo estaba más cansado que ese pequeño acróbata emplumado!

Due the ambient conditions I opted to take all these photos in manual mode (I took more than 130 shots in half hour) with the following base settings: 100mm, ISO 320, f/3.5, 1/4000s and -0.7EV. Only the first two images in this post are cropped (I cropped them 1x1 to exploit the presence of branches and the bird in the middle of the jump). The working distance was only about 4.5 meters at the beginning and became a little less for the final shots when the bird seemed to be more confident.

Dadas las condiciones de ambiente opté por hacer todas estas fotos en modo manual (hice más de 130 disparos en media hora) con los siguientes ajustes de base: 100mm, ISO 320, f/3.5, 1/4000s y -0.7EV. Solo las dos primeras imágenes de este post tienen recorte (lo hice en 1x1 para explotar la presencia de ramas y el ave en pleno salto) La distancia de trabajo fue apenas de unos 4,5 metros al principio llegando a ser un poco menor para las fotos finales cuando el ave parecía estar más confiada.

Seems to me the result in these photos is a "visual hybrid" with abstract shades and a medium minimalism, this prompted me to create a couple of triptychs which I share here as the closing of this publication. .

Me parece que el resultado en estas fotos es un "híbrido visual" con matices abstractas y un mediano minimalismo, esto me impulsó a crear un par te trípticos los cuales comparto aquí como cierre de esta publicación.
