It has been an August that is barely halfway through and already feels long to me... An August in which I turned 55 (on the 4th) but during which I seem to have lived a hundred or more years... An August with less rain than the Augusts of my childhood and youth, also with much more heat and some downpours with storms that, to some, seem unexpected... Yes, this is a fateful August, of nonexistent services, of broken streets that seem to be slowly fading away... And I, as is my habit, am here in the middle of these streets, although this time with less time for them, because daily life knocks on my door and tells me that I have to live it and that's it, that's how it happens and that's how I go... This is an August where the photos I have been able to take reflect the dystopias that wander aimlessly through the streets, as if belonging to them without being from here... An August of critical and reflective looks, but also of an equanimous observance, which I learned from practicing it so much, partly for pleasure and partly not to sadden completely among the glances at the harsh streets... This August of mine no longer resembles my Augusts as a child, but it is an August that is here and must be faced... And, from this August, these are some of its photos today for you on #Hive...

Ha sido un agosto que apenas ni va por su primera mitad y ya me parece largo... Un agosto en el cual cumplí 55 años (el día 4), pero durante el cual me parece haber vivido cien o más años... Un agosto de menos lluvias que los agostos de mi niñez y juventud, también con mucho más calor y algunos aguaceros con tormentas que para algunos parecen inesperadas... Sí, este es un agosto aciago, de servicios inexistentes, de calles rotas que parecen borrarse lentamente... Y yo, como es mi costumbre, estoy aquí en medio de estas calles, aunque esta vez con menos tiempo para ellas, porque la vida cotidiana me toca a la puerta y me dice que tengo que vivirla y listo, así pasa y así voy... Este es un agosto en donde las fotos que he podido hacer reflejan las distopías que deambulan despistadas por las calles como perteneciendo a ellas sin ser de aquí... Un agosto de miradas críticas y reflexivas, pero también de una observancia ecuánime, la cual aprendí de tanto practicarla, un tanto por placer y otro tanto para no entristecer de un todo entre las miradas a las calles duras... Este agosto mío ya no se parece a mis agostos de niño, pero es un agosto que está aquí y hay que enfrentarlo... Y, de este agosto, estas son algunas de sus fotos hoy para ustedes en #Hive...
