Hello Black and White friends at #Hive, this is my entry for today's #monomad challenge.... These are photographs captured in the streets of the village and on some of the roads leading to nearby hamlets.

It has been more than forty continuous days with daily rains, so the humidity in the valley is very high and during the first hours of dawn the mist condenses in a wonderful way and produces that nice half-light effect very pleasant to take pictures.

I had to use high ISO (this time I used 1250) and the widest possible apertures according to the lens available, as the light is quite scarce in these conditions. Curiously, I took these pictures with the never well weighted "kit lens", the 18-55mm that comes with the camera, which (in my very particular opinion) usually does things much better than what is usually heard among amateur photographers... Obviously I used the maximum possible aperture (between F/4 and F/5.6 depending on the focal length at which I was zooming).

Be that as it may, the early morning atmosphere, thus in the mist, is perhaps one of the most pleasant moments to go for a walk and breathe in the town and its surroundings.

I read on twitter that it rained hard over there, is the horse scared or is it always crazy? that mist is a product of the cold that the rain brought?

As always... great your pictures!!!!

Hi @caracasprin friend, happy week, thanks for stopping by!....

"Heavy rain" is an understatement, it's been the most torrential and continuous downpours in decades... Some towns like Canoabo were seriously affected and even isolated by the rivers that surround them... Trees have fallen here and some low-lying areas of the villages have been flooded... All chaos!

The fog is perhaps a product of the excess of humidity, as it has been raining for more than 40 days, at least for a little while every day... So when the sun comes out it heats up and evaporates everything, generating high humidity... Because it has never been cold again... mornings may be shrouded in fog, but the temperature is usually relatively high... .... Here we are understanding "the hard way" what climate change is, especially the farmers, who no longer know what, how or when to plant, and many have simply thrown in the towel... :-(

The horse in the photo, geez.... It was actually running around the streets of the village unchecked... but that's common here... Sometimes donkeys and other times cows appear in the streets... And there is always a sagaletón or the drunken night revellers who ride them or "coleen" them ... All very typical and cheerful in the early hours of the morning, until the owner of the animal appears and usually shoots someone... Village stuff, then!... ha ha ha :-))

Greetings and happy week!... Thanks again for appreciating! ;-)

Saludos y feliz semana!... Gracias de nuevo por apreciar! ;-)

40 days of continuous raining?
That's pretty too much

Yes, it has been the heaviest rainy season in decades... Obviously, it hasn't rained all day long, but it has rained for at least 40 days at least for a little while every day...

That fog looks so nice! Wish we could get more of it around here.

:-) Certainly dear friend, it is very nice to see this fog, although it is not due to low temperatures, but to the excess of humidity due to torrential rains... But it still makes for nice pictures :))..... We used to have a lot of foggy mornings all year round, now it's much less frequent... Here the climate change has been very palpable in every way!... I imagine it's the same for you in Europe... Thank you for stopping by and appreciating... ;-)

My word! Your ability to capture the mood of a scene is unbelievable. The pictures with child and horse looking so isolated are surreal, almost spooky. Keep up the good work! 👏🏾
