My mother's house (a healthy matron of almost 80 years) and mine are next to each other. Our yards and gardens also communicate with each other, so my mother practically lives with us. My youngest daughter and I even take turns sleeping at my mother's house so that she is not alone at any time... Besides, my studio is in what forty years ago was my unmarried room! 😂... So it is common for me to pass every moment through the nooks and crannies of courtyards and gardens between both houses. And just yesterday, after a short-lived rain, I was about to go to my studio and noticed the presence of several brightly colored flowers, some of them sprinkled with water drops coming from the recent rain, and without thinking twice, I returned home to get my camera and take some pictures of these flowers, as it is always beautiful to look at them up close when moisture settles on them...

La casa de mi madre (una saludable matrona de casi 80 años) y la mía, están una al lado de la otra. También nuestros patios y jardines se comunican entré sí, así que prácticamente mi madre vive con nosotros. Incluso, mi hija menor y yo nos turnamos para dormir en la casa de mi madre y procurar que de esta manera ella no esté sola en ningún momento... Además ¡Mi estudio está en lo que cuarenta años atrás era mi cuarto de soltero! 😂... Entonces es común para mi pasar a cada momento por los recovecos de patios y jardines entre ambas casas. Y precisamente ayer, después de una lluvia de corta duración, me disponía a ir a mi estudio y me percaté de la presencia de varias flores de colores intensos, algunas de ellas salpicadas de gotas de agua provenientes de la reciente lluvia, y sin pensarlo dos veces, retorné a mi casa para buscar mi cámara y hacer algunas fotos de estas flores, pues siempre es hermoso mirarlas de cerca cuando la humedad se posa en ellas...

Despite her age and her weight of almost 100 kilograms, my mother is still strong enough to take care of her plants. In addition, one day a week one of her friends comes over who is an excellent gardener and does the jobs that my mother can't do in the garden. I, for my part, take care of cutting the lawn and pruning the trees and somewhat large plants on a regular basis. So thanks to all this, the variety of plants has been maintained and the state of health of this one is quite good... So it's no wonder I spend 60 minutes in these gardens and still have things to photograph!...

A pesar de su edad y de su peso de casi 100 kilos, mi madre sigue manteniendo la suficiente fortaleza como para dar cuidado a sus plantas. Además, un día a la semana viene uno de sus amigos quien es excelente como jardinero y realiza los trabajos que mi madre no puede realizar en el jardín. Yo por mi parte, me encargo de cortar el césped y de la poda de los árboles y plantas algo grandes regularmente. Así que gracias a todo esto, la variedad de plantas se ha mantenido y el estado de salud de esta es bastante bueno... ¡Así que no es de extrañar que yo pasar 60 minutos en estos jardines y aún así me falten cosas por fotografiar!... 😉

I like to photograph natural motifs and at the beginning of my love for photography, I spent hours and hours capturing images of insects and plants to later classify them with the help of specialized websites, books and online enthusiast groups. But as the years went by, street photography occupied more and more a relevant space in my photographic vision and ended up displacing somehow my habit of photographing natural elements. However, year after year and especially in the rainy season, the need to make macros and close-ups on flowers and plants, returns suddenly to my spirit and then I try to have some of my time to make photos like these which I share with you today in #Hive...

A mi me gusta fotografiar motivos naturales naturales y al comienzo de mi afición por la fotografía, invertí horas y horas capturando imágenes de insectos y plantas para posteriormente clasificarlas con la ayuda de páginas web especializadas, libros y grupos de entusiastas en líneas. Pero con el paso de los años, la fotografía callejera ocupó cada vez más un espacio relevante en mi visión fotográfica y terminó por desplazar de alguna manera mi costumbre de fotografiar elementos naturales. Sin embargo, año a año y especialmente en temporada de lluvias, la necesidad de hacer macros y acercamientos en flores y plantas, retorna de manera intempestiva a mi espíritu y entonces procuro disponer de algo de mi tiempo para hacer fotos como estas las cuales comparto con ustedes hoy en #Hive...

This selection of photos corresponds to perhaps half of the plants which I had a chance to photograph that day. So, stay tuned, as I will be sharing another post soon with more photos of my beloved flowers splashed with moisture... 😉

Esta selección de fotografías corresponde quizás a la mitad de las plantas las cuales tuve oportunidad de fotografiar ese día. Así que, estad atentos, pues próximamente estaré compartiendo otra publicación con más fotos de mis amadas flores salpicadas de humedad... 😉
