In Venezuela we are going through days when not having electricity is a common thing. So I am trying to take advantage of the long hours of power cuts during the afternoons in the best way possible. And one of the things I am doing to deal with this is to go for a ride on my old bicycle to the rural areas far away from the urban center of my town. So, these photos which you will see below, come from those rides... 📷🚲

En Venezuela estamos pasando por días en los que no tener electricidad es algo común. Así que estoy procurando aprovechar las largas horas de corte eléctrico durante las tardes en la mejor manera posible. Y una de las cosas que estoy haciendo para lidiar con esto es salir a pasear en mi vieja bicicleta hacia los espacios rurales alejados del casco urbano de mi pueblo. Entonces, estas fotos las cuales verán a continuación, provienen de esos paseos... 📷🚲

All these photographs I am sharing today were taken south of town in the valley called “Agua de Obispo”. However, I have tried to caption all of them with the specific name given by the local people to each place, which in many cases is the same name given to the properties through which I usually go during my rides...

Todas estas fotografías que estoy compartiendo hoy, fueron hechas al Sur del pueblo en el valle llamado "Agua de Obispo". Sin embargo, he procurado colocar a todas ellas títulos en donde figure el nombre específico dado por los pobladores locales a cada lugar, el cual en muchos casos se trata del mismo nombre que tienen las propiedades a través de las cuales suelo ir durante mis paseos...

Fortunately we have had some atypical rains in the middle of the dry season. This has caused the foliage to partially green up and has also drastically decreased the risk of vegetation fires typical of these dry months here in the valley....

Afortunadamente hemos tenido algunas lluvias atípicas en plena mitad de la temporada seca. Esto ha hecho que el follaje reverdezca parcialmente y también ha disminuido drásticamente el riego de incendios de vegetación típicos de estos meses de sequía aquí en el valle...

I have many more photos of places like these, so I'll try to build new posts with things that go beyond landscapes... Although it may seem impossible, I have found a couple of country roads which I had not traveled before, so I will show them to you soon... 😉

Tengo muchas fotos más de lugares como estos, así que procuraré construir nuevas publicaciones con cosas que van más allá de los paisajes... Aunque parezca imposible, he encontrado un par de caminos rurales los cuales no había transitado antes, así que pronto se los mostraré... 😉
