ABSTRACTS & BEYOND... A particular photographic vision 📷

cats.jpg

Hello dear #Hive friends!... Today I bring to share some photos which I can consider "out of my standard".... But sometimes (and lately more often) I simply need to take this kind of photos. It's kind of like "protesting to myself" against my visual everydayness.

A01.jpg
THE WALL
📷 NIKON D7000 | 26 mm | 1/800s | F/5 | ISO 400

A02.jpg
MAZE OF THE DEAD TREE
📷 NIKON D7000 | 18 mm | 1/250s | F/8 | ISO 400

A03.jpg
FLIGHT OF THREE
📷 NIKON D7000 | 170 mm | 1/640s | F/8 | ISO 500

I have no doubts, some of the photos in this series are "pure catharsis" and are taken instinctively, almost abruptly. Are the equivalent of an angry painter taking a canvas and throwing brushstrokes almost with fury on it, are therefore an "unburdening".... Sometimes that is necessary.

A04.jpg
DEAD TRUNK'S MEMORIES
📷 NIKON D7000 | 100 mm | 1/250s | F/7.1 | ISO 400</sup

A05.jpg
DISKS
📷 NIKON D7000 | 98 mm | 1/320s | F/5.6 | ISO 800

A06.jpg
THE DOOR, THE COLLAGE
📷 NIKON D7000 | 85 mm | 1/1250s | F/5.6 | ISO 800

There's a funny thing about these photos, I usually put names to them mentally as I capture them and I usually remember the names pretty well when I get around to editing them. That at least makes me feel better, because it means that despite my "strange photographic behavior", I'm not completely crazy (which is perhaps a bit optimistic on my part, since some of those names are almost as weird as the photos).

A07.jpg
THE WRONG ACCESS
📷 NIKON D7000 | 85 mm | 1/1250s | F/5.6 | ISO 800

A08.jpg
A CRY IN THE SAD LOT
📷 NIKON D7000 | 55 mm | 1/1250s | F/5.6 | ISO 800

I call this "Abstract & Beyond" simply because these types of photos begin to occur when you instinctively perceive the abstractness of your surroundings (yes I know, I'm starting to sound pretty strange to those who risk reading what I write, but you know me).... But beyond that easy abstraction one can also find some minimalism and that is something that borders perfectly with abstract.

A09.jpg
WHERE THE EARTH CEASES
📷 NIKON D7000 | 55 mm | 1/320s | F/5.6 | ISO 400

A10.jpg
A SQUIRREL, AN INTERLUDE
📷 NIKON D7000 | 55 mm | 1/320s | F/5.6 | ISO 400

I cannot claim these photographs are technically adequate, although I took them with practically the same care, adjustments and precautions used in my more conventional photographic capture process. But I have to accept, the priority when taking this kind of photos is somewhat more "psychic". It's not a matter of letting my guard down and taking pictures that are absolutely unsharp. No, what I mean is that in this kind of photos there is a greater connection between my anxiety, my need to express myself and the shutter of the camera. So that's something I enjoy. In fact, it's a type of photography that in a way "isolates me" when I do it.

THE SILENCE BROKEN

📷 NIKON D7000 | 300 mm | 1/2500s | F/7.1 | ISO 500

LET'S SEE A BIT IN MONOCHROME

(CLICK THE PICTURES TO ENLARGE)

I also wanted to share monochromatic versions of all the photos, because as I said previously, this type of photography is quite "psychic" and all of us who love photography know that the word "psyche" is always good to associate with "monochromatic". So, these are the versions turned to black and white, sepia and some even with partially blue tones to get out of the usual a little bit.

Turning these photos into monochrome variations is the perfect complement to the creative process involved. There isn't a minute of time editing these photos that I haven't enjoyed and this is true for their color versions as well as the monochrome ones. Analyzing this, I can understand why I can spend hours doing it without getting tired.

TECHNICAL NOTE: All photographs were taken with my Nikon D7000 camera and always in RAW format. The processing of each image was done with Adobe Camera Raw where the images were practically ready in terms of brightness, definition, contrasts, depth and color temperatures. Then were exported to JPG format for minor adjustments of cropping, straightening and adding watermarks in PhotoScape 3.6.1. The monochrome versions were made from the exported JPGs and were fully processed with PhotoScape 3.6.1 as well.

This building and wall are depleted , and I'm it's vivid that is a deserted environment, people don't longer live there.

These trees are looking strange, especially the last one, still feeling confused if it's a tree or not.. or a wall? I don't know. .lol.
The monochrome effect are looking good 💯

Yes, there are many houses here whose inhabitants have left... That last photo is the bark of a tree whose main characteristic is "to expand to store water"... So it looks like this!... Strange, isn't it? .. Thank you very much for stopping by and appreciating @maryjacy friend! ;)

Man, Those are Awesome one's!

It's like every shot you captured is trying to tell a story... Sometimes we just need to look around and find those things.

Well done my friend. But if I have to choose one stile, with the closed eyes, I prefer the more abstract photographies.
You should spend more hours on abstract photographs. It would be nice to see more of that style in your presentations. I liked them a lot, they are excellent.
Saludos 🖖 compañerito @jlinaresp un abrazo desde Cuba La Habana.
