A MORNING OF "COUNTRY THERAPY" - PHOTOGRAPHY STORIES || ENG-ESP || (12 pics)

Okay, I don't want to sound too dramatic, but living where I live (Venezuela) can sometimes mean some rather complex worries (those who follow international news surely know what I mean), but I won't go into detail, as frankly, it's not my style, and I'm not very good at writing about those kinds of situations. But what I do have to share with you today is how, here in my town, I'm fortunate enough to be able to grab my camera, head to the northern edge of town, and wander down some country road that allows me to forget my problems... I like to call this "COUNTRY THERAPY", and that's what this post for you on #Hive is all about...

And this morning was bright, full of vibrant, eloquent, and cheerful colors. The clear blue sky was dotted with a few white clouds that occasionally softened the bright sunlight. I even felt compelled to take some photos of the exquisite abstract shapes formed by the branches of the enormous trees as seen from below...

Everything here speaks of nature, of landscapes, of paths, and of charming rural life in every corner. Walking these paths, breathing in the fresh air of the last months of the year, is always a healing and relaxing experience...

I was a very precocious and almost always solitary explorer, so some 45 years ago, when I was still a child, I was already walking these paths. So for me, coming to this place is always accompanied by a flood of memories from those years in the early 80s, when I felt like the most daring of adventurers, exploring these paths in the hiking boots my father bought me, equipped with a canteen and a small pocketknife... Wow, I remember it like it was yesterday, and I even remember receiving a pair of binoculars as a Christmas present and coming here the very next day to use them for birdwatching... Yes, this place is very much a part of me, certainly...

This time I reached the small river whose course I used to follow upstream to reach places with waterfalls and deep pools at the foot of the mountains. Wow, I remember that's a tough and difficult path. I don't think I could do it now, because I walk more slowly, more carefully, and with much more effort. But perhaps I'll try again in the coming dry season...

Today I took a different route for part of the way back than the one I used to get here, so I have more photos and more stories from this trip, from this wonderful outdoor therapy that I love so much...

Thank you very much for your visit and appreciation!

Indeed a country therapy! I love the tree branches it looks magical. They're like from sci-fi movies where supernatural creatures live. And really nothing beats the peace the country side can offer. You know, just hearing the birds chirping, gustling of the wind and the leaves bumping to each other it's just pure nature. I remember when I come home back in my college days, whenever the bus is leaving the city highways and reaches the bumpy roads of the town with the roads shaded by the tree branches, I just want to sleep and inhale the smell of the country roads. It's just so relaxing and feels like home. I have a secret to tell you which will no longer be a secret haha. I love the smell of a burned dry leaves. It always makes me feel home. I know burning leaves is not healthy for the nature but I love it's smell. It reminds me back then when I sweep our backyard and my grandma tells me to burn the leaves because the chickens might scratch them away to look for food and it will be all over the yard again. Of course we stopped burning leaves now, we already have a compost pit for it. Anyway thanks for sharing this yet again amazing encounter with nature. It brought me back to memory lane too!
