"A Monochrome Vertical Morning" might seem like an overly descriptive title for a photo series. But it was precisely the first phrase that came to mind when I saw all these photos together after investing a little over three hours selecting them from my files, processing them, and editing them to share with you here on #Hive. Also, when I decided on this title, I remembered my late father, who, in the midst of his frequent "occasions of folk wisdom" (as my mother called them, which often occurred when Dad overindulged in his taste for good whiskey 😂), used to say something like: "You have to say what you think, without thinking too much about it." And well, that's how I sometimes act, although I admit I don't have that level of "strange freedom" that my father had, who didn't care too much about the consequences of saying what he was thinking. But hey, we're not all the same, and we can't all be like that all the time. But getting back to the subject of this photo series; This is a sequence of photos taken on the same morning during a walk in the hills near the village, during which I took my camera and thought about taking some photos of landscapes and more specific details, with the intention of later converting them to black and white...

"Una mañana vertical monocromática" puede parecer un título demasiado explicativo para una serie fotográfica quizás. Pero fue precisamente la primera frase que se me vino a la mente cuando vi todas estas fotos juntas después de invertir poco más de tres horas seleccionándolas de entre mis archivos , procesándolas y editándolas para compartirlas luego con ustedes aquí en #Hive. Además, cuando decidí dejar puesto este título, recordé a mi difunto padre que en medio de sus frecuentes "eventos de sabiduría popular" (como los llamaba mi madre, y los cuales frecuentemente ocurrían cuando Papá se excedía en su gusto por el buen whisky 😂) solía decir algo más o menos como: "Hay que decir lo que se piensa, sin pensarlo demasiado" y bueno, así actúo yo a veces, aunque reconozco que no tengo ese nivel de "extraña libertad" que tenía mi padre, a quien no le importaban demasiado las consecuencias de decir lo que estaba pensando. Pero bien, no todos somo iguales, y no todos podemos ser así siempre. Pero volviendo al tema de esta serie fotográfica; se trata de una secuencia de fotos de una misma mañana durante una caminata en las colinas cercanas al pueblo, durante la cual llevé mi cámara y pensé en hacer algunas fotos de paisajes y detalles más puntuales, con la intención de luego virarlas al balco y negro...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
