Hit and Missed | The Bees are Restless Today!

Happy Sunday!

Gosh, today is extra hot, or is it just in the Philippines? 🤣 It is important to keep thy self hydrated so as not to get literally toasted, haha. I should be grateful for the warm weather because I know for sure that the insect is out to gather their food today. Of course, it is me taking advantage to have nice photos. 😁

I just randomly sat on the grass and observed if there was something hopping or crawling around. It was a lucky day for me because there was a little grasshopper chilling on the small bush. Normally, I will wait for around 15 minutes just to see them out.

Maybe I should start looking for the real names of these creatures.

This is my best shot I got. It was the freaking sunray that was directly beaming in my eyes. Gad, it was like a laser beam! Thank God this lil buddy was steady.

This one is super tiny! Smaller than an ant. I thought it was just a dirt, and it started moving. 😅 These insects are kind to me today!

Now, time for the main characters... the bees! There were three bees hovering around this red flowers. In Filipino, we call it Santan. The Scientific name for the flower is Ixora coccinea Linn.

Holy cow... there were very energetic today! It was hard to capture a still photo. These suckers are hopping from flower to flower. Probably because it was sunny so they were in the mood to work hard for today.I was scared to distract them because they might sting me. Ugh, all for the nice photo, eh?

My patience was tested because of the combination of heat and frustration. I just skipped the macro shots. Usually, the macro is good when the subject is very still because when it is not, the shot will be blurry.

I thought it was a wrap already as I got some good shots. I noticed that there was a black spidey~🕷

What I learned from photography so far is that, you should be patient. Sometimes, it is frustrating whenever I did not take the best shot of the subject. It happens to me most of the time when taking photos of insects. Probably 80% of the shots is straight to the bin. I have to be patient to deliver the story of the picture.

For now, I am really enjoying photography. 😁 Hmm, maybe one day I will take this seriously, who knows? 😌
