Memories Of Our Marriage, More Than A Year Ago

Today I want to share one of the most beautiful memories. Our wedding day, @jesuslnrs and I, where we were a little stressed but happy to be with loved ones. Since most of them were traveling from out of town, including our mother and brother-in-law, they accompanied us to the civil registry, which was punctual and a very peaceful space. Our friends, witnesses, and family filled the room, and although it's a quick process, it flowed very well.

Then we set off for @Kimberlycmq family home, and there came one of the longest downpours we've had in 2024. 😅 And yes, we didn't have rain like that again last year. It left a few streets flooded, trees downed, and when the rain stopped a bit, we left the civil registry. Although we weren't worse off than the groom from the next wedding (who hadn't arrived), he ended up soaked, but ready to get married. ❤️

These photos were taken at Kimberly's house, where we had decorated a bit the night before, and her mom helped us so much; sometimes I think she was more excited than we were. And of course, that's more than a compliment to our union. The cake is @Kendry1106 work, a beauty, and also the best cake I've had so far (she doesn't believe me; sometimes I dream I'm eating it again). So much so that Jesus didn't want to share it with anyone, but duty won.

The rain continued, preventing other friends from arriving, but it was truly a blessing for us to be surrounded by love, by close friends, and to have taken this step and, without a doubt, to give this a legal name: an 8-year relationship, albeit with about 11 years of friendship.

Hoy quiero compartir uno de los recuerdos más hermosos. El día de nuestros matrimonio @jesuslnrs y yo, dónde estábamos un poco estresados pero felices de compartir con seres queridos y amados. Ya que la mayoría de ellos viajaba desde otra ciudad, incluyendo a nuestras madre y cuñado. Nos acompañaron al registro civil, el cual nos brindó puntualidad y un espacio muy tranquilo. Nuestros amigos, testigos y familiares llenaron la sala y aunque es un proceso rápido, fluyó muy bien.

Luego nos dispusimos a ir a la casa familia de @Kimberlycmq y allí llegó uno de los diluvios más largos que tuvimos en el 2024, 😅 y si, no volvimos a tener una lluvia como esa el año pasado, dejó unas cuantas calles inundadas, árboles caídos y cuando cesó un poco la lluvia nos fuimos del registro civil. Aunque no nos tocó peor que al novio de la siguiente matrimonio (que no había llegado) llegó al final todo empapado, pero dispuesto a contraer nupcias. ❤️

Estas fotografías fueron tomadas ya en la casa de Kimberly, dónde la noche anterior habíamos decorado un poco, y su madre nos ayudó muchísimo, a veces pienso que estaba más animada que nosotros. Y por supuesto, eso es más que un halago para nuestra unión. La torta es obra de @Kendry1106, una preciosura y además la mejor torta que me he comido hasta ahora, (ella no me cree que a veces sueño que me la estoy comiendo otra vez). Tanto que Jesús no quería compartirla con nadie, pero ganó el deber.

La lluvia siguió y eso impidió la llegada de otros amigos, pero realmente fue una bendición para nosotros estar rodeados de amor, de amigos cercanos y haber dado este paso y sin duda darle un nombre legal a esto, una relación de 8 años, aunque con unos 11 años de amistad.
