The Cat's Personal Nurse
That little face in the first photo breaks my heart, because today little Firu-De-Miau had his neutering. It was necessary because where we live, it's not good for them to go out on the street and have adventures with other cats. For those who don't know him, he's my brother's cat. I'm just helping out by being his nurse tonight, since his real dad has to work the night shift. These photos are from yesterday, when he still felt powerful:
My brother always had in mind to have this surgery done on his cat, but he had to wait for the right time. The recommendation is six months, when the testicles have descended. That last part happened quite some time ago, but the surgery was still pending. So today, very early in the morning, they took him away, after a fast that began yesterday and made the night a little long and difficult.
I've been acting as both uncle and nurse for several hours now; in fact, I don't know how long I've been writing this post. All afternoon, and now into the night, I've had to make sure he goes back to his normal diet, chase him to get him to drink water, check that he wants to and can go to the bathroom, make sure he doesn't do too many cute things, because he's already started jumping around, and on top of that, and most worryingly, that he doesn't lick his wound, let alone bite it, and every five minutes he wants to do it, I think it itches, even though I already cleaned it. Plus, my mom has been very nervous about all this, and that also makes things a little more complicated because she makes me nervous hahaha, it was definitely a Crazy Friday at my house...
Hello Jesus
While it must not be pleasant for Firu-De-Miau to be neutered, according to veterinarians, it is very healthy for the animals.
Firu-De-Miau is so precious! What a great job you've done as his caretaker.
Beautiful photographs.
Yes, it's a good thing for them. Besides, he's meant to be our pet. It's the best thing we can do for him to have a good quality of life. Thanks for commenting my friend...
Hello friend @jesuslnrs , it is a delicate operation, recently my sister took her kitten Mulan to be sterilized and it was stressful days for both of them.
It is a nice kitten
Greetings
Yes, these aren't easy days at home, and it seems to be even more difficult with the girls. At least everything has been going well since Friday, when the surgery took place. Thank you so much for sharing this anecdote with me...
