I think I've been to enough concerts since I was a kid, either as a spectator, as a soloist or as part of an ensemble to say for sure that the best part of the concert is that after a great ending people still want to hear more... For me that means that a great job was done and that people felt very comfortable being there.

Creo que he participado en suficientes conciertos desde que era niño, ya sea como espectador, como solista o como parte de una agrupación como para decir con mucha seguridad que la mejor parte del concierto es que después de un gran final aún las personas quieren escuchar más... Para mí eso es sinónimo de que se hizo un gran trabajo y de que las personas nos sentimos muy cómodas estando presentes.

As musicians I feel we have a duty to have something prepared up our sleeves, as there is always the possibility that this will happen at the end. Many are not and decide to repeat one of the pieces of music already performed during the concert, preferably the most applauded or the one that makes the biggest impact on the audience. But if we have that ace up our sleeve it is easier to surprise them again, but I don't recommend comparing applause or having friends among the audience who start the ovation hahahaha, please don't cheat and let everything happen naturally 🤣

Como músicos siento que tenemos el deber de tener algo preparado bajo la manga, ya que siempre existe la posibilidad de que esto ocurra al final. Muchos no lo están y deciden repetir alguna de las piezas musicales que ya se interpretaron durante el concierto, preferiblemente la más aplaudida o la que causa mayor impacto en la audiencia. Pero sí tenemos ese As bajo la manga es más fácil sorprenderlos nuevamente, eso sí, no recomiendo comparar aplausos o tener amistades entre los espectadores que comiencen la ovación jajajaja, no hagan trampa por favor y dejen que todo se de natural 🤣

Regarding the spectators, we have the right to ask for more music if we are happy with what has happened, besides we often pay to be in these concerts and it is pleasant for us to ask for a special piece of music. I recommend that we always ask for another one, because usually we musicians have something else prepared for this moment and we all know it, but it is already a tradition at the end of the concerts to ask for that false end so that the ovation and the requests of the people arrive 😬

Respecto a los espectadores, tenemos el derecho de pedir más música si estamos a gusto con lo que ha pasado, además que muchas veces pagamos por estar en esos conciertos y es grato para nosotros pedir alguna pieza musical en especial. Recomiendo que siempre pidamos otra, porque generalmente los músicos tenemos algo más preparado para este momento y todos lo sabemos, pero ya es como tradición al culminar los conciertos ese final falso para que llegue la ovación y las peticiones del pueblo 😬

I shared this song here on Sound Music a month ago when we were just rehearsing it, the musical arrangement comes from the African continent and is called Baba Yetu. I think it is one of the most powerful songs we prepared for the World Choir and I am glad that the teacher thought of leaving it as a possible song to sing if the public asked for more, although here among us, I think we would have pretended insanity and we would have sung it anyway if no one said anything hahaha.... With this piece ended our presentation as World Choir, but believe it or not, all these posts I have shared with you were only half of the concert 😵 After us it was the turn of the World Orchestra El Sistema 😎

Esta canción la compartí aquí en Sound Music hace un mes cuando a penas la estábamos ensayando, el arreglo musical proviene del continente africano y se titula Baba Yetu. Me parece una de las más poderosas que preparamos para el Coro Mundial y me agrada que la profe haya pensado en dejarla como esa posible canción a cantar si el público pedía más, aunque aquí entre nos, creo que habríamos fingido demencia y la habríamos cantado de igual modo si nadie decía nada jajaja... Con esta pieza terminó nuestra presentación como Coro Mundial, pero aunque no lo crean, todos estos posts que les he compartido solo eran la mitad del concierto 😵 Después de nosotros le toco el turno a la Orquesta Mundial El Sistema 😎
