My First Wednesday Walk For Hive!
Hello community! Today has been a day of mixed feelings. I had a great morning at my music work, full of challenges to meet and goals that have been mapped out for the long term, but then I had a lousy afternoon with the ill will of the people who live near us and the problems that neighbors love so much. A few hours ago I was very, very upset, and I told my girl @Jhoxiris that I didn't feel like being in the house surrounded by the negative energy of our block, so I invited her to go for a walk, and have a sweet treat with a coffee. We went to a very nice place, I didn't even take a picture there, I was still draining my discomfort, but then we went to the front square at dusk and I remembered that today is Wednesday. It filled me with a lot of emotion to remember the Wednesday Walk community, a space where I have never published, but that has always caught my attention. From that moment on I smiled again, inspired to take pictures of our pleasant walk...
The place we went to was the Plaza del Banco Central de Venezuela. We have been living in Caracas for 10 years and this square is very close to our residential area, but we had never stopped to go in, we have always passed by and see it from afar. This first photo shows what we see every day from the bus. A beautiful rural landscape with some vegetation and majestic sky. We have always seen a lot of people in this plaza, but never understood why until today, and it turns out that the site lends itself to people dancing, playing sports, playing games, having meetings and casual encounters. It's centrally located, it's a cool space and it's very beautiful.
Much of the plaza is shaded, as it is located under the bank's facilities. This space is perfect for sunny hours. As you can see in the picture above, people gather to play chess, in addition to various meetings. There is plenty of space to sit and hang out. In the distance you can see a group of teenagers carrying their sound equipment and practicing choreography and the children have converted several spaces into courts to play soccer and other ball sports. There is so much space in the plaza that there is no noise disturbance and the traffic is quite far away from the areas of enjoyment.
I was very surprised that the square is very clean, and you can see it in the photographs. There is illumination, another very strange thing in the Venezuelan capital. It was at sunset that we were there, I literally arrived there writing this post. The little vegetation there is very neat and beautiful, there is a variety of flowers and it is nice to see people walking their dogs, plus the beautiful cats in the area that are also cute and very affectionate and responsive to people.
We were very surprised when we found a large open space in the plaza where there were dozens of people doing dance therapy, I dare say there were about 100 people being guided by a dance instructor. There were children, teenagers, young adults, seniors, people of all ages, both men and women and the energy was so pleasant and positive that it provoked us to start dancing with them too, but we had just eaten the candy, so we didn't hehe.... I feel that I have discovered something that has been there for everyone to see since always, I am sure that we will continue to have a good time here...
I could not miss these last two pictures that I took at nightfall. Beyond the beauty of the square and enjoying the joy of the people, it is nice to look up and see the contrast between the sky and the buildings, I have always liked the combination of nature and rural life. The second photo is of the church "Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes", which is right in front of the square and I understand it is one of the oldest in Caracas and dates back to colonial times. All these pictures were taken with my Tecno Pova II. I hope you liked my first post for this community. It makes me very happy that I really had a Wednesday walk that I was able to share on Hive...

Greeting from Vietnam girl. Your walking trip leads me to know something about your country. Thank you for your sharing.
Hello! Thank you so much. It's good that a nice little piece of Venezuela has reached a friendship from Hive in Vietnam. I have heard a lot about your country, for me it would be a dream to meet it one day. Thanks for walking me through the post...
I like it when people play chess outside.. In Hamburg you could sometimes find those massive chess pieces with a board on the floor matching the size; not sure if they still have them, but that was always quite a sight, you literally walk among them!
I sure would have joined that big dance group there. I LOVE to dance!
Neighbours can be annoying, I think I'm fairly lucky with mine (so far); they don't moan when I keep playing my guitar which can be annoying when you don't know what you're doing yet.
Thanks for sharing, it was interesting to see where you are and it sure looks much warmer than here..
Have a nice day!
You are very lucky to live around people who don't bother you. I also tend to be the type of neighbor who doesn't sit down, my existence is only noticed when I make music at home, but it seems that drama is necessary for people and they want to include me.
I really imagine you being part of this group of people, it shows that you are someone who really enjoys life and leisure activities. I love your joviality and the smile that characterizes you in your videos. I really appreciate you visiting my post, for me it has been a good way to drain a bad day...
I do, I have my bad moments too, of course, but I try not to dwell too much.
Not always possible, though.. lol
Good to let some steam of for sure!!
Have a lovely day, my friend!
You guys really have beautiful places at your end. Just like you said in your post there are some places which I have not even step into for years which are closer to my place 😄. So you didn't even go near this place for a whole 10 years, Wow😄
That is right, brother. I'm sure it's not just the two of us. When we have so many occupations we do not see clearly everything that is around us. The city of Caracas really has a lot to offer, and it has been nice to discover that people take care of these spaces...
That's really true i agree with you
Firstly nice to have you join the Wednesday walk :)
Sorry to hear there was so much negativity around you and a great idea to get out for a walk to get away from it all and such an interesting spot for a walk
wow thats a huge group doing the dance
Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks

Thanks for taking us on your walk. I would've also danced with the dance group if I were there 😅.
The positive energy of the people was calling us, but we had just eaten hahaha, it would be very dangerous. Thank you so much for visiting my post, it's like going for a ride with the Hive people who comment...

How beautiful, sometimes we have art present in our eyes and because of life issues we do not pay attention to it, it has happened to me a lot, in fact near where I live there is a kind of ancient tomb that is like a small mountain that is called here in Peru Huaca, where there lie the remains of the great Incas and I have not approached in 5 years here😅.
Super special that outing and great for recreation, may it always be repeated.
Wow Dina, well, I think it's very interesting to share a future post. You should consider it for some day when they are unoccupied. You offer quality and enjoyable work, I hope to see it soon. Thanks so much for commenting, you are absolutely right, day to day life keeps us away from certain treasures close to home...
I loved your pictures, they show a wonderful and cheerful side of the city, beautiful sunset.
