My first job was in a McDonald's |Eng-Esp| Mi Primer Trabajo fue en un Mc Donald's
Today is #tbt Thursday and I want to move to the late 2000's! All my life I have been a musician, but when I turned 18 years old I didn't dedicate myself to that profession as such, I was still a Systems student and it would be 7 years before I made the decision to get into music at the age of 25. The first place where I worked was in a Mc Donald's in the outskirts of Maracay in Aragua State, a delightful time to remember, not only for starting to earn my own income, but I knew the nightlife, parties, fashion and first love.
¡Hoy es Jueves de #tbt y me quiero trasladar a finales de la década de los 2000's!. Toda mi vida he sido músico, pero cuando cumplí los 18 años no me dediqué a esa profesión como tal, todavía era estudiante de Sistemas y faltarían 7 años hasta que tomé la decisión de meterme de lleno a la música a los 25 años. El primer lugar donde trabajé fue en un Mc Donald's en las afueras de Maracay en el Estado Aragua, una época deliciosa de recordar, no solo por comenzar a ganarme mis propios ingresos económicos, sino que conocí las salidas nocturnas, las fiestas, la moda y el primer amor.
At that time I did everything (except music), it was incredible the energy I had and I remember it with great admiration. I would leave my house early in the morning because I usually came in at 6 in the morning and work was far away, at noon I would go to the gym to train, then I had my afternoon courses, the longest one was English where I spent two years, then I would arrive early to the technological place to do all the pending activities because my classes were until 10 at night, and so I would start the day again. I had many friends, and I was very popular in each of these places and we always found time for fun. Nowadays all I want is for my four hours of rehearsal to end so I can go home to rest 🤣 and believe me I arrive tired...
En esa época hacía de todo (menos música), era increíble la energía que tenía y lo recuerdo con mucha admiración. Salía de mi casa de madrugada porque generalmente entraba a las 6 de la mañana y el trabajo era muy lejos, a medio día iba a gimnasio a entrenar, luego tenía mis cursos de la tarde, el más largo fue el de inglés donde estuve dos años, luego llegaba temprano al tecnológico para realizar todas las actividades pendientes porque mis clases eran hasta las 10 de la noche, y así volvía a comenzar el día otra vez. Tenía muchos amigos, y era muy popular en cada uno de estos lugares y siempre encontrábamos tiempo para la diversión. Hoy en día lo único que quiero es que acaben mis cuatro horas de ensayo para irme a mi casa a descansar 🤣 y créanme que llego cansado...
I was only 17 years old when I started looking for a job and you can't even imagine the real reason that made me do this; in November 2006, just on my dad's birthday Shakira would have a single show of her Oral Fixation Tour in Venezuela, my parents had already forbidden me to visit Shakira in 2000 and 2003 because "I was underage" according to them, but I think it was something more economical, plus we didn't live in Caracas. So I looked for and got this job, where I only thought I would stay for three months to raise money, go to the concert and then leave to continue with my student life. Of course I saw Shakira for the first time that November, one of the best days of my life, but in the end I didn't leave after the concert, it turns out that by that December I started to feel in love for the first time in my life 😵
Solo tenía 17 años cuando comencé a buscar trabajo y ni se imaginan el motivo real que me impulsó a hacer esto; en Noviembre de 2006, justamente el día de cumpleaños de mi papá Shakira tendría una única función de su Tour Fijación Oral en Venezuela, ya mis papás me habían prohibido la visita de Shakira en el 2000 y en el 2003 porque "era menor de edad" según ellos, pero pienso que era algo más económico, además de que nosotros no vivíamos en Caracas. Así que busqué y conseguí este trabajo, donde solo pensé estar tres meses para reunir dinero, ir al concierto y luego dejarlo para seguir con mi vida de estudiante. Por supuesto que vi a Shakira por primera vez ese Noviembre, uno de los mejores días de mi vida, pero al final no me fui después del concierto, resulta que para ese Diciembre comencé a sentirme enamorado por primera vez en mi vida 😵
I will not talk about that first love disappointment, I can only tell you that I was not reciprocated, and due to the lack of experience in adolescence I fell in love again the following year and again I was not reciprocated, and more or less that was my pattern in love until I fell in love with Jhoxiris at my 29 years old and I had my first real official girlfriend in life. Even though I got my heart broken twice at McDonald's it was finally friendship that won out, which is why I worked at this company until I had to do my tech internships and was left to work elsewhere.
No hablaré de esa primera desilusión amorosa, solo les puedo decir que no fui correspondido, y por la falta de experiencia en la adolescencia me volví a enamorar el año siguiente y nuevamente no fui correspondido, y más o menos ese fue mi patrón en el amor hasta que me enamoré de Jhoxiris a mis 29 años y tuve mi primera verdadera novia oficial en la vida. A pesar de que me rompieron el corazón dos veces en Mc Donald's finalmente ganó fue la amistad, el motivo por el cual trabajé en esta empresa hasta que tenía que hacer las pasantías del tecnológico y quedé trabajando en otro lugar.
All the people who are in these pictures are no longer in my day to day, but we do have contact through facebook and other social networks. In this job I learned responsibility because they were really strict in all their rules and I also learned what adult life was like, not to live it, but to know what I was going to face from now on.... I will never regret having gone through this company, which is definitely a school for life ❤️
Todas las personas que están en estas fotografías ya no están en mi día a día, pero sí que tenemos contacto por medio de facebook y otras redes sociales. En este trabajo aprendí la responsabilidad porque realmente eran muy estricto en todas sus reglas y también aprendí cómo era la vida adulta, no ha vivirla, pero sí a saber lo que me iba a enfrentar de aquí en adelante... Jamás me arrepentiré de haber pasado por esta empresa que definitivamente es una escuela para la vida ❤️

At first I thought you were exaggerating about resting a few hours and coming back to 100%, but so many years later I look back and you're right, it was that easy even though I didn't realize it at the time. As the years go by, especially after 30, the body begins to want to be at home more than going out to parties and stuff, you get tired faster haha I'm not even 30 yet and I don't even want to go out to the corner because I start to feel bad hahaha oh how sad 😂

I have always thought that destiny had written the meeting and the path that I am walking today with Jhoxi, in fact I think it was necessary for me to be hurt so much, to know the worst and then realize it when my trophy arrived. What a great story of your first steps into the labor market! I had many small jobs in my youth, so can't really "decide" which one was first, but I did learn a lesson from all of them! I suppose that's the most important that we learn from our past...

Before Mc Donald's it was even stranger, but I was a couple of months in a catholic church, getting the coats, collecting the money from donations and cleaning up at the end of the mass. Every week I would buy a new music album. My profit was given to me every Saturday by one of the nuns hehe. The nice thing is that I always had this thing of working and getting things by my own means. Today I enjoy music very much, I don't feel it as a job, but as a reward.

Saludos amigo, muy bueno ese recuerdo y sobre todo tener la oportunidad de formar parte de esa gran franquicia de comida rápida y luego de muchos años poder recordar ese momento. Uno como joven siempre busca las maneras de poder obtener dinero y toma ese primer trabajo y sin duda sirvió mucho para así poder conocer al mundo y los distintos desafíos que nos presente la vida. Como digo en la publicación, me sorprende la energía que tenía en ese momento, y lo recuerdo con mucha alegría, porque así me sentía, a pesar de esos momentos donde a uno le pisotearon el corazón jajaja, pero ya tuve mi final feliz. Osea mi Bro fuiste un Mac Lover jajajaja... chiste malo 😅 jajajaja... vaya que fue intenso lo que viviste en ese tiempo pero para bien obviamente, porque en el amor te llevó a Jhoxi y en lo laboral y profesional viviste una experiencia distinta que te mostró el lado rudo de ser adultos.
De pana que tenías energía para muchas cosas Bro, yo cuando estudiaba y luego comencé a trabajar, de broma tenía tiempo para ensayar con la banda pero me pude mantener en ambos ámbitos ya que eran mi motivación más grande en ese punto de mi vida.

Pero aunque tenías poco tiempo de ensayar con la banda seguramente igual lo hacías, porque la energía de la juventud y las ganas de hacer las cosas son bárbaras. Viejo lloré mucho en esa era por andar enamorándome de quien no debía, pero a la vez fue un tiempo donde abrí los ojos y descubrí el mundo, yo era muy casero de adolescente, de hecho siento que en Mc Donald's comenzó mi verdadera adolescencia jajajaja, no sé si te acuerdas que en un post dije que aterricé en la vida adulta al mudarme a Caracas a los 25, pero que de hecho el año pasado fue el que me terminó de acomodar 😅 Y sí, chiste malo y todo, pero sí soy un Mac Lover jajajajaajajajaja...

Ok, eras un chico McDonalds entonces jajaja, recuerdo que para esa época trabajaba en Migo, y los chicos que llevaban en su curriculum que habían trabajado en McDonalds eran los primeros que escogían, pues la disciplina y el nivel de exigencia de esa franquicia, era algo que se buscaba emular en aquella tienda. La verdad es que el trabajo en McDonalds, era un trabajo demandante, que solo los chicos de esa edad toleraban, por su misma inexperiencia, no sé si continuara siendo igual. Pero sin duda alguna, disfrutaste de tu estadía allí, y eres de los míos, vivías de desamor en desamor, jajaja, hasta que llego la indicada, definitivamente, la vida, aunque lo dudemos, siempre sabe por donde nos lleva. Mira, yo veo la juventud y la vida de ahora y dudo que Mc Donald's sea igual que en esa época jeje, pero la verdad es que no lo sé, ojalá se conserve lo bueno. Gracias por leer mi historia, me encanta tener por acá a la Reina de los #TBTs... Tienes toda la razón, hoy gozo de la felicidad absoluta, pero si hay alguien que vivió con el corazón roto, incluso desde niño fui yo jajajaja, porque esta fue la primera vez que me rompieron el corazón a nivel profesional, pero ya desde sexto grado era una constante 🤡
