My Dream Afternoon in El Retiro Park in Madrid

Hello everyone. I think this is the first time I post content in this community, but it seems an ideal occasion, as we are in the rebirth of Pinmapple and the wonderful proposal Worldmappin. These images are from my recent trip to Spain, specifically from an afternoon when I visited El Retiro Park in the city of Madrid, the photo below was my first impression:

¡Hola a todos!. Creo que es la primera vez que publico contenido en esta comunidad, pero me parece una ocasión ideal, ya que nos encontramos en el renacimiento de Pinmapple y la maravillosa propuesta Worldmappin. Estas imágenes son de mi reciente viaje a España, específicamente fue de una tarde en que visité el Parque El Retiro en la ciudad de Madrid, la fotografía a continuación fue mi primera impresión:

It is a dream place, I think the most beautiful park I have visited in my life so far, besides being very, very large. It is one of those places where it is almost impossible to take pictures and not have people around, especially in the last days of Easter when I visited it. The weather was very nice, that week winter showed up for the last time in Madrid after two weeks of spring, and for those of us who are not used to the cold it was very pleasant.

Es un lugar de ensueño, creo que el parque más hermoso que he visitado en mi vida hasta ahora, además de ser muy, muy extenso. Es uno de esos lugares donde es casi imposible tomar fotografías y que no haya personas al rededor, especialmente en los últimos días de la Semana Santa cuando yo lo visité. El clima estaba muy sabroso, esa semana el invierno se asomó por última vez en Madrid después de dos semanas de primavera, y para quienes no estamos acostumbrados al frío fue muy grato.

I remember that we entered through the Puerta de Alcalá and I was impressed with the beauty to the left, to the right, to the front and to the back, there were spectacular places everywhere, flowers, fountains, trees with foliage of different colors, I did not know where to start, but our friend from the city knew how to give us a good guided tour. It didn't take us long to find my favorite place in the park, the lake...

Recuerdo que entramos por la parte de la Puerta de Alcalá y quedé impresionado con la belleza hacía la izquierda, hacia la derecha, al frente y al fondo había lugares espectaculares por doquier, flores, fuentes, árboles con follaje de diversos colores, no sabía por donde comenzar, pero vaya que nuestro amigo de la ciudad nos supo brindar una buena visita guiada. No tardamos mucho hasta encontrar mi lugar favorito en el parque, el lago...

I will not deny it, when I discovered this park I almost cried with emotion, in fact for a few moments I distanced myself from my girl and our friend, I really did not think I would see such a beautiful scene that afternoon, and that was just the beginning. I remember that there were some musicians playing the clarinet at the shore of the lake, it was a sublime music, as much as what my eyes could see and that made me even more excited. The sky was reflected on the water and people were laughing, taking pictures, ducks were swimming in herds, everything was perfect, everyone was happy, and I was part of that moment, that boy who came from living the worst moment of his life was in a place where sadness seems not to exist; I wish with all my heart that these moments were repeated in my country and for the people I love. I think I got a little melancholic, but it was a real feeling that accompanied me throughout my trip.

No se los voy a negar, cuando descubrí este parque casi lloré de la emoción, de hecho por unos instantes me distancié de mi chica y nuestro amigo, realmente no pensé ver una escena tan hermosa esa tarde, y ese solo fue el comienzo. Recuerdo que habían unos músicos tocando el clarinete a la orilla del lago, era una música sublime, tanto como lo que veían mis ojos y eso me emocionó de más. El cielo se reflejaba sobre el agua y las personas reían, se tomaban fotos, los patos nadaban en manada, todo era perfecto, todos eran felices, y yo era parte de ese momento, ese chico que venía de vivir el peor momento de toda su vida estaba en un lugar donde la tristeza parece no existir; desee con todo mi corazón que estos momentos se repitieran en mi país y para la gente que amo. Creo que me he puesto algo melancólico, pero fue un sentimiento real que me acompañó durante todo mi viaje.

Besides the main lake, El Retiro Park has other smaller lakes and many places of interest, there are several gardens of different types of vegetation, an area that looks like a small forest, there is the striking Palacio de Cristal and the Reina Sofia Museum, there is no way to get bored there, and although I walked for hours, I'm sure I did not know even fifty percent of the place, it is really big, you would have to go to spend the whole day there, but it was my last days in the city I was visiting many places a day to be able to know every possible corner of Madrid, what I never understood is how I didn't get tired and how I could smile for the camera, because my face was frozen 🤣

Además del lago principal, el Parque El Retiro tiene otros lagos más pequeños y muchos lugares de interés, hay varios jardines de distintos tipos de vegetación, una zona que parece un pequeño bosque, está el llamativo Palacio de Cristal y el Museo Reina Sofía, no hay como aburrirse ahí, y aunque caminé por horas, estoy seguro que no conocí ni el cincuenta por ciento del lugar, es realmente grande, habría que irse a pasar el día completo allá, pero eran mis últimos días en la ciudad estaba visitando muchos sitios al día para poder conocer todos los rincones posibles de Madrid, lo que nunca entendí es cómo no me cansaba y cómo podía sonreír para la cámara, porque mi cara estaba congelada 🤣

I think all the guys who traveled with me visited this park at some point, it is one of the most special beauties of Madrid and I think everyone who has visited the city knows it, so my recommendation is for those who have not been to Madrid yet, you have to allow yourself to know this beautiful place, I myself hope to have the privilege to visit it in other seasons and see its changes, sincerely it is a dream place... Creo que todos los chicos que viajaron conmigo visitaron este parque en algún momento, es una de las bellezas más especiales de Madrid y creo que todos los que han visitado la ciudad lo conocen, así que mi recomendación es para quienes no han ido a Madrid aún, tienen que permitirse conocer este hermoso lugar, yo mismo espero tener el privilegio de visitarlo en otras estaciones y ver sus cambios, sinceramente es un lugar de ensueño...
