I Crashed Into The Sopranos!

These pictures are fairly recent, from a couple of hours ago. One of the Sopranos of the choir is having a birthday, but the rehearsal was very intense because we will have our first pre-tour concert this Sunday, so it took us more time than usual. It is not just any Soprano who is having her birthday, she is a true friend with whom we have shared many special moments, but her boyfriend, one of the star tenors had another rehearsal at the Teresa Carreño, and since most of the members of the National Choir are from the interior of Venezuela we decided to keep our girl company at least while her partner arrived.

Estas fotografías son bastante recientes, de hace un par de horas. Una de las Sopranos del coro está cumpliendo años, pero el ensayo estuvo muy intenso porque tendremos nuestro primer concierto pre gira este Domingo, así que nos llevó más tiempo del normal. No es cualquier Soprano la que está cumpliendo años, es una verdadera amiga con la cual hemos compartido infinidad de momentos especiales, pero su novio, uno de los tenores estrella tenía otro ensayo en el Teresa Carreño, y ya que la mayoría de los integrantes de la Coral Nacional somos del interior de Venezuela decidimos hacerle compañía a nuestra chica al menos mientras llegara su pareja.

It was a wonderful afternoon, there were only three of us at the beginning, but little by little more sopranos joined us for this pleasant time; you know that when outings among friends are spontaneous, they are much more enjoyable... The budget was limited and we were very hungry, since the rehearsal ended later than usual, but we all managed and we had a good time during those four hours of the afternoon. The gossip from the girls is usually very juicy, and being the only gentleman at this meeting I had the luxury of hearing the best backstage comments of life in the Sopranos string 🤣

Fue una tarde maravillosa, solo eramos tres al inicio, pero poco a poco se fueron sumando más sopranos a este agradable rato; ya ustedes saben que cuando las salidas entre amigos son espontáneas se disfrutan mucho más... El presupuesto era limitado y teníamos mucha hambre, ya que se el ensayo terminó más tarde que de costumbre, pero entre todos nos la ingeniamos y estuvimos bien esas cuatro horas de la tarde. Los chismes de las chicas suelen ser muy jugosos, y siendo el único caballero en esta reunión pude darme el lujo de escuchar los mejores comentarios tras bastidores de la vida en la cuerda de Sopranos 🤣

I left just when my tenor colleague and the brother of the birthday girl who sings with the Baritones arrived, they would follow this family reunion, but it has given me a little headache and at the same time I needed to come to write my #HivePUD post and commit myself from March 1st with a new #HivePUM, but for the moment I feel happy to have spent a different time and be part of that little group of people that brightens the lives of others, because today no matter the budget, hunger or headache, several of us had the initiative to accompany our friend and make her waiting time more special, even if it was toasting with a coffee ☕

Me retiré justo al llegar mi colega tenor y el hermano de la cumpleañera que canta con los Barítonos, ya ellos seguirían esta reunión en familia, pero me ha dado un poco de dolor de cabeza y a la vez necesitaba venir escribir mi post del #HivePUD y comprometerme desde el día 1 de Marzo con un nuevo #HivePUM, pero de momento me siento feliz de haber pasado un rato diferente y ser parte de ese grupito de personas que alegra la vida de otros, porque hoy no importaba el presupuesto, el hambre o el dolor de cabeza, varios tuvimos la iniciativa de acompañar a nuestra amiga y hacer su rato de espera más especial, así sea brindando con un café ☕
