Hoy tuvimos la celebración de primera comunión en mi parroquia, una de las maneras más sencillas de hacer llegar el mensaje sobre el significado de esta celebración a los niños es con la imagen de la amistad, por eso, les explicaba hoy que la experiencia que iban a realizar era sobre todo de un encuentro personal y espiritual con Dios que venía a ser su amigo, él nunca nos abandona, que tampoco nosotros le abandonemos.

De la misma manera, insistía en que para su edad es muy importante el acompañamiento que se les brinde, especialmente desde su hogar, ya que es allí donde pasan la mayor parte del tiempo, es esencial que allí reciban una buena educación, con buenos consejos pero, sobretodo, un testimonio que les motive a seguir en el buen camino.

Today we had the first communion celebration in my parish. One of the easiest ways to convey the message about the meaning of this celebration to children is with the image of friendship. That's why I explained to them today that the experience they were going to have was above all a personal and spiritual encounter with God, who came to be their friend. He never abandons us, so let us not abandon him either.

In the same way, I insisted that at their age it is very important to have the support that is given to them, especially from their home, since it is there where they spend most of their time. It is essential that they receive a good education there, with good advice, but above all, a testimony that motivates them to follow the right path.
