Ayer culminamos el primer campamento zonal de la zona pastoral nuestra señora de Coromoto de la Arquidiócesis de Barquisimeto, un hecho histórico porque por vez primera se unieron varias parroquias de esta zona para que el mismo fuera una realidad, desde su organización hasta su puesta en acción. Por ello, hay algunos aspectos claves que quisiera destacar del mismo:

• Motivación para la comunión. Una iglesia fraterna es un signo inconfundible de nuestro seguimiento a Cristo, el cual expresa en el Evangelio "Que todos sean uno, para que el mundo crea." Pues bien, el lograr toda una semana de misión evangelizadora de diversas parroquias es un logro en este sentido.

• Escuela de formación misionera. En su naturaleza la Iglesia es misionera, puesto que está llamada siempre a salir de sí para ir al anuncio del Evangelio. Es necesario que hagamos cada vez más consciente y operativa esta verdad, por ello, esta experiencia que hemos tenido es toda una escuela para los que de ella hemos participado. De manera especial, al tener en cuenta que la mayor parte de los participantes eran jóvenes, los cuales valoran este tipo de retos.

• Los beneficios del dar. La frase evangélica "es mejor dar que recibir" no es solo una frase bonita, sino que es el fiel reflejo de la lógica de la donación, cuando es hecha desde la fe. En efecto, fue muy grato escuchar diversos testimonios de los participantes en el campamento que fue una oportunidad de avivamiento de su fe y de toma de decisiones respecto a la misma. A pesar de que se tuvieron que superar diversas dificultades: seguimiento de un horario, disciplina y largas caminatas (de entre 4 km a 15 km diarios), siento que en nombre de todos puedo afirmar que terminamos cansados pero felices.

Yesterday we culminated the first zonal camp of the pastoral zone of Our Lady of Coromoto of the Archdiocese of Barquisimeto, a historic event because for the first time several parishes of this zone joined together to make it a reality, from its organization to its implementation. Therefore, there are some key aspects that I would like to highlight:

• Motivation for communion. A fraternal church is an unmistakable sign of our following Christ, who expresses in the Gospel "That they may all be one, so that the world may believe." Well, achieving a whole week of evangelizing mission of various parishes is an achievement in this sense.

• School of missionary formation. In her nature the Church is missionary, since she is always called to go out of herself to proclaim the Gospel. It is necessary that we make this truth more and more conscious and operative, therefore, this experience that we have had is a whole school for those who have participated in it. In a special way, taking into account that most of the participants were young people, who value this type of challenge.

• The benefits of giving. The evangelical phrase "it is better to give than to receive" is not just a nice phrase, but a faithful reflection of the logic of giving, when it is done in faith. Indeed, it was very gratifying to hear various testimonies of the participants in the camp, which was an opportunity to revive their faith and to make decisions about it. Although we had to overcome several difficulties: following a schedule, discipline and long walks (between 4 km to 15 km per day), I feel that on behalf of all of us I can affirm that we ended up tired but happy.
