Una de las principales actividades que en nuestro campamento misionero realizamos fue la de poder nutrir al grupo de jóvenes y demás personas participantes de la formación pertinente para que a la hora de la evangelización pudieran transmitir realmente lo que íbamos a llevar: la presencia maravillosa del amor de Dios entre nosotros.

Un complemento excelente a estas formaciones fueron los diversos servicios que todos debíamos desempeñar: cocinar, lavar los platos, limpiar, entre otros, ya que también es un fogarse y alinearse con la actitud de servicio que en general debíamos mantener, en efecto, las grandes distancias recorridas (entre 4 a 15 Km diarios) no se explican sino desde esta, todo para servir la esperanza y la fe de otras personas que ni siquiera conocíamos.

Pensando en ambos temas, formación y servicio, me emociono, porque la mejor formación que a los jóvenes le podemos brindar es la del servicio, más cuando es con el ejemplo y de manera práctica. En efecto, solo el que aprende a servir es sorprendentemente útil para el mañana, no será un estorbo sino que sumará junto a otras voluntades como la suya para hacer de este mundo un mejor lugar para todos.

One of the main activities that we carried out in our missionary camp was to nurture the group of young people and other participants with the relevant training so that at the time of evangelization they could really transmit what we were going to bring: the wonderful presence of God's love among us.

An excellent complement to these formations were the various services that we all had to perform: cooking, washing dishes, cleaning, among others, since it is also a bonfire and align with the attitude of service that in general we had to maintain, in fact, the long distances traveled (between 4 to 15 km daily) can only be explained from this, all to serve the hope and faith of other people we did not even know.

Thinking about both topics, formation and service, I get excited, because the best formation we can give to young people is that of service, especially when it is by example and in a practical way. Indeed, only those who learn to serve are surprisingly useful for tomorrow, they will not be a hindrance but will join with other wills like yours to make this world a better place for everyone.
