El segundo destino de la peregrinación que el sábado pasado tuve a Trujillo fue espectacular, ya que se trató nada más y nada menos que al monumento habitable más grande del mundo, construído en honor a la Virgen de la paz, el mismo tiene 46,72 metros de altura. Allí llegamos luego de partir de Valera, ciudad de Trujillo a la cual pertenece el pueblo de Isnotu, nuestro primer destino en la peregrinación.

Salimos a las 11'30am y llegamos casi a la 1:00pm, pero no todo estaba hecho todavía pues debíamos subir en unos jeeps hacia el lugar exacto dónde está el monumento, lo cual tuvimos que esperar unos cuántos minutos debido a que éramos muchos y pocos vehículos, no obstante, al llegar arriba nos dimos cuenta que la espera valió la pena, el sitio es hermoso y los alrededores estaban cuidados, lo que nos sirvió para tomarnos también algunas fotos desde los mismos.

El hecho de esta peregrinación a la Vírgen de la Paz, desde el contexto de los conflictos bélicos que tenemos hoy en día en ciertas partes del mundo, fue una oportunidad para elevar una oración por el cese de las guerras y el término del sufrimiento de tantos inocentes.

En el monumento y sus alrededores estuvimos hasta las 4:00pm, cuando nos dispusimos a retornar a las autobuses que abajo nos esperaban, los tomamos de nuevo a las 4:30pm para salir a nuestra ciudad de Barquisimeto, a la cual llegamos a las 9:00pm, ya que nuevamente hicimos una parada de media hora en la estación de servicio de Arenales, tal cual habíamos hecho en el viaje de ida.

The second destination of the pilgrimage I took to Trujillo on Saturday was spectacular, as it was none other than the largest habitable monument in the world, built in honor of the Virgin of Peace, which is 46.72 meters high. We arrived there after departing from Valera, the city of Trujillo to which the town of Isnotu belongs, our first destination on the pilgrimage.

We left at 11:30 am and arrived almost at 1:00 pm, but it wasn't all done yet, as we had to take jeeps to the exact location of the monument, which we had to wait a few minutes for due to the fact that there were many of us and few vehicles. However, when we arrived at the top, we realized that the wait was worth it. The site is beautiful and the surroundings were well-maintained, which allowed us to take some photos from there as well.

The fact that this pilgrimage to the Virgin of Peace, from the context of the armed conflicts that we have today in certain parts of the world, was an opportunity to raise a prayer for the end of wars and the end of the suffering of so many innocent people.

We stayed at the monument and its surroundings until 4:00 pm, when we prepared to return to the buses that were waiting for us below. We took them again at 4:30 pm to leave for our city of Barquisimeto, which we arrived at at 9:00 pm, as we again made a half-hour stop at the Arenales service station, just as we had done on the way there.
