His Majesty has had me going now, amidst the turmoil and activities of my life, at least he is a (usually) pleasant distraction
Yesterday, He came in through the pet door, went from window to window back here growling.
I went out with my pellet gun, and saw the gray and white longhair, but he was already out of range.
When I came back in, the scaredy cat got in the most protected place He could find. Under this stand up desk

I guess He figured (and rightly so) that anything coming for Him would have to go through me to get to Him ha ha ha
One Wednesday, we had a first:

His Majesty caught a (I now know young, unable to fly) bird and brought it into the house.
Over and over I would catch this thing, put it out, then He would bring it back in.

I was trying to give the thing a fighting chance, if it could get somewhere the cat couldn't reach.

I put it in my garage overnight. but the cat found him anyway and brought it back in, this time to the front bathroom.
I caught it in the sink and took it out again.

By this time it had been a cats plaything for over 24 hrs, lost a lot of feathers including some of the flight feathers.
I was pretty sure it wouldn't be able to recover, but I was determined to give it a chance

But alas, it wasn't meant to be, so finally I wrung its head off, plucked most of the feathers, hoping at least that His Majesty would appreciate my efforts and dine of fresh squab, but no, it didn't move so He was no longer interested.

I am not bloodthirsty nor did I enjoy that, but I also didn't relish Him continuing in and out tormenting this little dude, nor the prospect of having it die somewhere inside the house and begin to stink.

When I let His Majesty out the back door after being chased, the first thing He did was to climb this ladder and have a look around. Later I looked out and saw Him on top of my Red Barn. He heard me before I could get a good photo and started toward me

We entertain each other a lot.
I like it best when He deigns to spend some time on the bed with me.

You made me look it up (you'd misspelled it)

Three or more cats make up a clowder, which makes sense. After all, three is a clowd—er, crowd. Jokes aside, this is mainly because the word "pair" covers pretty much any group of two, and if a cat is by themselves, then they're just ... a cat. Keep in mind that a group of kittens is not subject to the same rules.
