Hace un año y unos cuantos meses que no íbamos a Puerto Ayacucho, el lugar donde mi esposo creció y en el que vive su familia. Así que pues también teníamos todo ese tiempo sin verlos, así que decidimos ahorrar unos meses para poder hacer un viaje y reencontrarnos con la familia. Cuando la fecha se acercaba, mi suegra le dijo a mi esposo que quería vernos, que no extrañaba y que si podíamos ir en agosto, por ser vacaciones.

Aunque nos moríamos de ganas de contarle que no iba a ser necesario esperar hasta agosto porque viajariamos en abril nos aguantamos para que la sorpresa no se arruinara, porque después se todo sabíamos que no importaba la fecha sino poder vernos después de tanto. Hacer un viaje sorpresa es complicado, porque no puedes prepararte para ciertas cosas y por supuesto quien te va a recibir tampoco puede prepararse para tu llegada, esto fue para mi todo un reto porque necesito mentalizarme y prepararme para cosas como el lugar donde dormiriamos, donde cocinariamos o incluso que baño íbamos a usar.

Making a surprise trip is complicated, because you can not prepare for certain things and of course who will receive you can not prepare for your arrival, this was a challenge for me because I need to prepare myself for things like where we would sleep, where we would cook or even what bathroom we were going to use.

Pese a que no saber a esas pequeñas cosas que honestamente a mi me descontrolan un poquito, decidí aguantarme un poco por el bien de la sorpresa. Por conversaciones que habíamos tenido con ellos, sabíamos algunos precios y decidimos llevar algunas cosas que eran más económicas en Maracay, principalmente comida.

Nuestro plan era no ir tan cargados, solo la comida y lo necesario que de regreso pues ya no sería un problema pues lo habríamos utilizado todo, pero aunque intentamos ir sin tanto igual íbamos un poco cargados, aunque eso se solucionó al guardar nuestros bolsos en el maletero del autobús, aunque son limitadas las líneas que viajan hasta amazonas y las que viajan lo hacen en días específicos, todo salió muy bien, nos fuimos en la línea de Inscata qué honestamente era la más cómoda, aun cuando era también la más económica.

Llegamos temprano agotados pero contentos de haberlo logrado sin contratiempos, ya que el viaje fue corrido y más allá de las paradas para comer e ir al baño, no hubo ningún otro tipo de paradas. Akgo que nos facilitó lo del peso de los bolsos fue que un amigo nos llevó hasta el terminal del que saldríamos hacia amazonas y cuando llegamos pagamos un taxi hasta la casa de mis suegros, por lo que solo cargamos bolsos por ratitos.

Todas mis preocupaciones y mi lucha por no poder tener control sobre ciertas cosas como lo de donde cocinaría resultó ser innecesario, pues finalmente al llegar resolvimos todo eso y es lo bueno de llegar a casa de personas o familiares que te aprecian y te respetan, pues se esfuerzan por dentro de sus posibilidades hacerte sentir lo más cómodo posible aún cuando no tuvieron tiempo para prepararse para nuestra llegada.

Al final tanto ellos como nosotros estábamos contentos por poder volver a vernos y compartir después de tanto tiempo y eso, pues es lo que queríamos todos.
