La Uva Beach, San Juan de Unare, Sucre - Venezuela [Esp-Eng]
In San Juan de Unare, about two hours from Río Caribe through the mountains, and many hours from Maracay, where I currently reside, walking straight through the town to the end, you can find the sea, From this beautiful town full of friendly and super hospitable people, I was able to visit three beaches, literally next to each other: El Cocal beach, which I told you about before, San Juan de Unare beach, and La Uva beach.
Today I want to tell you about my experience visiting La Uva Beach, which was literally next to the house, but unlike El Cocal Beach, this one was on the left side of the house. It didn't take much effort to get there; we just left the house and could already see it. This beach was a little different from the others, and as I told you in my previous post, this is something that surprised me a lot, because it was the same beach, the same sea, although it didn't seem like it.
La Uva Beach had cold water, although we used to go in the afternoon, and perhaps because of the rocks, the hill, and so on, the waves were much stronger. which meant that I couldn't enjoy it fully, at least not as much as I would have if there hadn't been so many waves, because the truth is that I have a lot of respect for the sea, not to say fear, and waves that are too high make me very nervous due to a bad experience I had as a child. Even so, I tried to swim for a while so as not to waste the opportunity.

This beach was a little darker in color for some reason, but even so, it looked quite beautiful, huge and imposing. Large pieces of rock had fallen from the hill, I imagine due to the rain, so a beautiful spot had formed on part of the shore, full of stones of different colors from my point of view. Here, in this part, although it looked beautiful, the waves were breaking and it was a little scary to be there because they were hitting hard. Even so, when we stayed there for a while, enjoying the beautiful contrast of the water and the large rocks and pebbles on the sand.
In fact, the fear I felt because of the huge waves and the rough sea did not prevent me from enjoying this visit to the beach, because when you share with the right people, they always do their best to find a way to help you enjoy these moments. In this case, my brother and sister-in-law stayed with me on the shore, digging a large hole in the sand so that when the water came in, it would fill up and we could swim.
This ended badly because we ended up covered in sand everywhere, but the truth is that it didn't matter because it was nothing that couldn't be solved with a good freshwater bath. The important thing is that we managed to enjoy a good time and, in passing, in a fun way that will remain etched in our minds forever. I'm not sure about Playa la Uva, but something tells me that it's called that because there are many trees around that we know in Venezuela as beach grapes, which are small purple fruits that usually grow on the coast, especially by the sea.

We had an incredible time on this beach, even though it wasn't my brother and sister-in-law's favorite beach in the area. They wanted us to see it anyway, and I really loved it because it was so beautiful. Plus, it was completely empty because people usually visit other beaches. An empty beach is not only very rare, it's also amazing. you feel free, as if the whole beach were yours.
At that time, it was easy for us to get there because we had been staying right in front of San Juan de Unare beach for a few days, which is more of a port, because it's where all the boats arrive and also where the fishermen leave from. In this part, the beach meets the river, so to get to Playa La Uva, which is a few meters away, we crossed that small river, which was low at the time. We usually make sure to go on days when it hasn't rained so that the river isn't swollen.
This visit to San Juan de Unare was a unique experience for me because I had never been to a place like that before. Everything there is super special, and I thought it was crazy and incredible that going to the beach was such an everyday and normal thing for the people there because where I live, to visit the beach, you have to travel at least two hours, and that's if you want to go to the nearest beach. I loved this place and, of course, I loved La Uva beach.

La Uva Beach is full of character! I like how the rocks and strong waves made it unique compared to other beaches. Even with the rough sea, it seems like such a beautiful and memorable place to enjoy with family.
Yes, it is, if you're not as fearful as I am, you can easily swim in its waters, and if you're a good swimmer, the waves won't be a problem for you. It's a beautiful beach.
Your journey was very beautiful. The way you have written after feeling every experience, it feels as if we too are there. Your description of the sea, waves and serene atmosphere touched my heart. Really, both this place and your story are special.
