Wednesday walk through sunny Szeged
Hello everyone, especially those who like to walk on Wednesday. 😊 It's time for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay.
If you have read my previous posts, you know that I was recently in Szeged and spent the whole day visiting cultural and historical sights.
We spent two days there. The first day was spent walking, and the second day we spent in the thermal aqua park, which I will write about in one of the following posts.
Walking all day through the streets of Szeged, which is one of the European cities with the highest number of sunny days in a year, was very pleasant. My first impression was the yellow trams, which fit so perfectly harmoniously into the environment.
There were even yellow planters for flowers, also in the shape of a yellow tram or train.
Another thing that was interesting to me were the small monuments at every step.
And even hanging in the air above.
I especially liked Klauzal Square and the wide Karas street in the pedestrian zone.
There is a full-sized bronze statue of Lajos Kossuth, a famous Hungarian politician.
The square is nice for walking with children and is also suitable for romantic walks.
I liked the architecture and I saw a lot of impressive buildings with beautiful facades. You can see that someone cares about this city. In my country, in many cities, you can see similar buildings, but in a much worse condition than these.
Finally, one of the most attractive buildings I saw was the Reok Palace, a unique work of Hungarian Art Nouveau.
I love when I'm in another city that I don't know well because every moment is precious and behind every corner you can see something worth paying attention to.
Thank you for reading.
