Swans of the Danube

Hello everyone and hello for the first time to all members of the Feathered Friends community. I hope you are doing great today.

I live in Belgrade and often spend weekends by the river. Last weekend I was in Zemun, a fishing settlement on the banks of the Danube. I went there with my children to visit our fellow citizens - white swans. 😊

Indeed, we consider these swans to be our fellow citizens. 😊 They are always there and we love their presence. Every day they make the children who come to hang out with them happy, and on the other hand, the children make them happy when they feed them.

I am amazed by their endurance and adaptability. It doesn't matter if it's summer or winter, they tolerate different temperatures well. I guess they are happy where they are, on the Danube, because they are always there.

We usually give them corn, because bread is not the best food for them. When he feeds them, my son tries to throw the food to them equally, because he feels sorry for someone going hungry, but the swans are very combative and they all try to get to their food.

These birds have a relaxing effect on me. I like to watch them.

I actually love to watch my children rejoice in feeding them and sharing the joy with them.

Due to the increasing pollution of rivers and cities, I fear for our feathered friends. It is not a rare case that this situation threatens them. I hope that will change.
