A visit to Rovinj, Croatia

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great today and enjoying the summertime. During my stay in Poreč last week, I finally had the opportunity to visit the city of my dreams - Rovinj or Rovigno in Italian.

When we arrived in Rovinj, we almost gave up on the visit because it was complicated to pay for parking. The payment application did not work, and then we found out that we can buy a daily ticket in the store. I was happy that we stayed because I wanted to see this town, even though it was always too expensive a destination for summer vacation.

When we started to walk through the old town, we were amazed by the colorful surroundings, old buildings, and authentic pebbled narrow streets.

Rovinj is an old but elegant town with Italian charm and Croatian spirit. I felt strange for one reason. I felt like I was in Italy but I spoke my language and people understood me because they also speak the same language as me. 😊 I felt like I belonged here, but unfortunately, I live far away.

While walking through the streets of Rovinj, wherever you turn around you want to take a photo because the city is very inspiring.

You feel as if you have entered another world, a fairy tale, as if you are traveling through time and yet you are present here and now, listening to jazz music from local cafes.

The colorful windows caught my eye. I was amazed by the beautifully landscaped courtyards, casual cafe gardens, and wall decorations.

I wanted this moment to last as long as possible while I was choosing a souvenir to take home to remind me of this magnificent city.

When we came to the top of the old town, we saw the Church of St. Euphemia. It is a baroque building and the largest monument in the town.

My son was curious so we went inside and took pictures of the interior.

From that place, there is a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea.

My children also enjoyed this town. Spontaneously and unhurriedly, we spent wonderful moments here.

If you have heard stories about Rovinj as a beautiful city that should be visited, I can tell you that it will certainly exceed your expectations due to its unique spirit and charm that will make you fall in love with it at first sight.
