A spring stroll through Rovinj’s old town
Between sessions at Communication Days, my colleagues and I decided to make the most of our break and wander through Rovinj’s enchanting old town.
On the way, we ate lavender ice cream and a beautiful sandwich with shrimps, called "pusterla" . I was delighted with the taste. It's something you have to try. It is a fish bar called Tunaholic. Later I discovered that it can be found in several places in Croatia and I am happy to return there.
The narrow cobblestone streets, lined with colorful facades, led us uphill toward charming squares and down to hidden corners overlooking the sea.
We wandered to the rocky shoreline, found a warm stones, and lay back for a few quiet minutes. The sky and the sea were so blue and I felt completely at peace.
Then we walked again. There were beautiful cafes with a view of the sea that entice you to enjoy them all day.
We stopped in a few small shops along the way selling handcrafted jewelry, unique souvenirs, and delicate pieces of local art.
Each shop was beautiful in its own way, with the shopkeepers eager to share the stories behind their creations. We especially liked one shop with handmade jewelry where my colleague and I surprised our third colleague and bought her a ring that she tried on, for her birthday.
She didn't expect that and was very happy. 😊 After that, we went to mark that moment in a restaurant with a beautiful view of Rovinj.
For dinner, we indulged in flavors that felt like pure Istria: pasta with truffles, and a starter plate of anchovies, carpaccio, and creamy cod pâté. It was simple, fresh, and tasty.
The old town has this magical way of making you slow down and we really enjoyed it there.
That's all from my trip to Rovinj, I hope you liked it.
Thank you for reading.

Those quiet moments by the sea, paired with the joy of discovering hidden streets and colorful corners, really make the experience feel magical and timeless.🥰
Exactly, it’s those little discoveries that make Rovinj feel so beautiful..
Right! Have a great day!😍
very delicious and in a nice place, however, the food and wine are just sugar (if repeated) that will see the body and liver getting fat, which is an unwanted situation
The lavender ice cream sounds so unique — I’ve never tried that before. And the streets in Rovinj look straight out of a storybook
I recommend you to try the lavender ice cream if you have a chance sometime, it's worth a try 😊

I really like these travel photos. You can be at your computer, but when you daydream, it feels like you’re somewhere along a seaside.

Truffles! That underground fungi staple! That can make a unique dining experience!🤗🫰❤️
I'm a big fan of truffles. When I eat pasta with truffles, I don't want to eat anything afterwards, so that the taste remains. 😊
Haven't tasted such here in the Philippines. Only wild mushrooms. Hahaha 🤣✌️
