A quick Wednesday walk through Inđija, Serbia
Hello Wednesday walkers! This is my entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge, hosted by @tattoodjay.
After visiting the lake and zoo park I wrote about in my previous post, we went to Indjija, a charming town in Vojvodina, the north province of Serbia.

The town, located in the heart of Vojvodina, is best explored on foot, especially through its pedestrian zone.

This central promenade is a place where people meet, stroll, or sit in cafes watching the passersby go by.

As you move along, one of the most striking sights is the Church of Saints Peter and Paul.

Its elegant facade stands as a symbol of the town's spiritual and cultural heritage.

Walking inside, the atmosphere shifts immediately, the play of light through colorful stained glass windows creates a peaceful experience.

The delicate artistry of the glass contrasts beautifully with the simplicity of the interior.

It's a Catholic church.

Beyond the church, the pedestrian street reveals another layer of Inđija's charm: its architecture.

Old facades, carefully preserved, tell stories of past generations. It seemed to me that they still need a bit of renovation, some buildings look like they are going to collapse.

But each building standing still, proud in its modest design.

My attention was also drawn to the sign that stands in front of the pedestrian crossing at the busiest place. It says: stop, look left and right, listen, go. I am always happy when I see that investments are made in the safety of children.

We walked through the town for a while, my kids ate popcorn while I visited the church. And we had to go home soon, but we will definitely come back here to explore the town more.

Thank you for reading.

I feel happy seeing the blue sky over there. Here, we are again back to rainy days with all we can see are gray skies for days.🤗❤️🫰
We have some sunny, some rainy days. 😊 I hope you will also have sunny days soon. Where are you from?
