A glimpse of Barica lake in Serbia

On the way back from the Celtic village, which I wrote about in the previous post, we stopped at Barica Lake.

First, we went to the zoo, which is right across the street from the village, but I will write about it in the next post. And after the zoo, we stopped at the lake. In Serbian, "barica" ​​means a "little pond." It perfectly reflects the lake's character: quiet, modest and full of charm.

From the very first glance, the lake gives you some peace and tranquility. Its calm surface reflects the sky and everything is in perfect harmony. People gather along the shore, enjoying their ritual of fishing. Looking at them, I realized how nice it is when you do something you love and when your hobby fills your day.

There were even children who were fishing. Children were fishing alongside their parents or by themselves, learning the art of patience and sharing in small triumphs when they pulled something from the water.

On the lake you could feel a beautiful balance between stillness and joy, something that is rarely encountered in everyday life.

The simplicity of the surroundings adds to the charm. There are no distractions here, just nature, people, and the soothing rhythm of waiting.

There are also benches where you can have a picnic with your family or have a drink and enjoy the view of the lake.

My kids were inspired to do something themselves by watching the kids adjust their own fishing rods and do fishing.

We left Barica Lake with a sense of calm that stayed with us long after. It's not a famous tourist destination but it is special for the locals or fishing enthusiasts who are nearby. It was inspiring for us.
