Jade City
Jade City British Columbia
On our way back from The Yukon we were able to stop in Jade City
located in the Cassiar Mountains.
Jade City is a tiny little mining town located in the beautiful Cassiar mountains in British Columbia Canada.
Over 90% of the Jade in the world is from the Cassiar Mountains in BC.
Amazing place to stop in on our way home. Really cool store with really nice people.
There's so much to look at and amazing selection of jade products to purchase. There's also accommodations if you needed a place to stay.
They also filmed a TV show about the jade mining operations. You can see some of the trucks and equipment around that was used in the TV production.
I highly recommend stopping in if your traveling through Jade City.
It was interesting to find out that most of the world's Jade comes from this remote area in British Columbia Canada.
They have some massive Jade boulders all around the property that they have to haul there and then cut them into smaller pieces.
It's a long process to get them cut and ready to sell. I guess an art in itself.
I had such a great time in Jade City with my wife. We of course had to purchase some Jade souvenirs. :)
The area itself is beautiful. Cassiar mountains are amazing and stunning.
I would love to go back and visit in the near future. Great people and amazing area. :)

Very beautiful! Amazing mountains all around. I will try and post some pictures later. I bought a nice coffee mug and bought my wife a nice Jade necklace. It was really neat learning about Jade and where it comes from. Asia is the biggest purchaser of our BC Jade.
