"THE LADY IN THE BATHTUB... With her ball" -- Keep 1 | Kill 2

avatar
(Edited)

This time we're selecting pictures from a full moon setting over "The lady in the bathtub"

KEEP 1 | KILL 2

This formation is in the valley of the gods in south east Utah. I didn't really even plan this but when I saw the moon I went racing around the park looking for a good formation to photograph it with. Turns out "The lady in the bathtub" wanted a ball to play with.

OBJECTIVE
It was such a cool moment of 2017 that I for sure want to have 1 of them in my TOP 100 of 2017
But I am not sure which one to go with. They are of course all pretty similar but with the moon in different positions in comparison to the rock formation.

However i'm always intrigued as to which ones are good runner ups and useful for future posts online.

p.s. you can always suggest a crop if that changes your opinion on which one make it to the next level.

KILL. Only because the placement of the moon isn't as neat as the others.

KILL, the moon is awkwardly aligned here, and you had a better one through the sagebrush.

KEEP. I'm in the minority here, but I like the blurriness of the out-of-focused shrubbery, and the imperfect placement of the moon off to the right

Keep. Sweet and simple, perfect alignment. The lady in the bathtub has a halo.

KILL. Only because I have to pick a second one to kill (right?). I do like the foreground bokeh, though.

KEEP. The framing of the moon is perfect, and it has some foreground interest. It could maybe be cropped a bit tighter, but eh. It's awesome.

Woah. These are stunning. I personally love the first, third and second the most in that order :) So I'd probably keep the first and kill the fourth or fifth. They're all so beautiful though!!
