Hola Hola! Walking the streets of Havana assures you good places for photos of architecture, sunsets, parties, old cars, and also brings you surprises.
Like this time when I was walking around El Prado in Havana and a group of friends asked me if I could take a group photo of them.
Here I am, just that day. // Aquí me vez, justo ese día.

At first the guys were very enthusiastic and said yes, let's take pictures, things changed when they were in front of the lens. Not all of them really wanted to, mostly because they were embarrassed and ashamed with all the public they had. Many, many people were walking around the Prado as you can see in the picture above.
But finally the desire to have a picture of all of them together won out and to help those who were more hesitant, I arranged them on one of the stone benches of the Paseo. The boys, they were trying so hard to look serious!!! Acting tough!
So we finally got the picture! which I leave you below.
Al principio los muchachos muy envalentonados que si, vamos a hacernos fotos, peeero la cosa cambia cuando ya estás delante del lente. No todos querían realmente, sobre todo por vergüenza y les daba pena con todo el público que tenían. Muchas, Muchísimas personan caminaban por el Prado como se ve en la foto.
Pero finalmente venció el deseo de tener una imagen de todos ellos juntos y para ayudar a los que estaban más dudosos, los acomodé en uno de los bancos de piedra del Paseo. Los chicos, se esforzaban por parecer serios!! Hacerse los duros!
Así que finalmente obtuvimos la foto! que les dejo a continuación.

If you look at these photos, they are not laughing in the first ones! I asked them if they were angry, if they were hungry or wanted to go to the bathroom and that's why they had their faces stuck, that immediately made them laugh.
So I took the opportunity and made those images of them smiling. Then I showed them, and they realized that they looked even cuter with their smiles on their faces.
They told me that "you don't use to laugh in pictures anymore", it's not the first time I've heard that.
... I guess it comes a bit from the editorial photos of famous magazines with top models.
There we talked for a while, I told them a little about this topic, the difference between casual photos with friends and advertising photos for a magazine, which, although it may seem obvious, it is not so obvious for young people under 16 years old.
En estas fotos si te fijas, en las primeras no se ríen!! Les pregunté si estaban bravos, si tenían hambre o ganas de ir al baño y por eso tenían la cara trancada, inmediatamente eso les provocó risa.
Así que aproveché y les hice esas imágenes sonriendo. Luego se las mostré y se dieron cuenta que se veían más lindos con sus sonrisas en la cara.
Me contaron que es que "ya no se usa reírse en las fotos" , no es la primera vez que escucho eso... imagino que viene un poco de las fotos editoriales de revistas famosas con top models.
Ahí conversamos un rato, les conversé un poco de este tema, la diferencia entre las fotos casuales con amigos y fotos de publicidad para una revista, que aunque parezca obvio, no lo es tanto para jóvenes que no superan los 16 años.

After having exchanged contacts we left and left them quietly doing their thing with their scooters and their ride in general.

I particularly find it hard to refuse when someone asks me for a photo. I always had doubts afterwards because I really didn't like to give out my WhatsApp number. I solved this last problem with another line in my phone, and now I only use it for work purposes.

A mi particularmente me cuesta negarme cuando alguien me pide una foto. Siempre me surgía la duda luego porque la verdad no me gustaba estar dando mi número de WhatsApp. Ya esto último lo resolví con otra linea en el teléfono y que ahora utilizo solamente para cuestiones de trabajo.
Espero que tengan un bonito día y si me cuentes te ha pasado algo como esto, en algún momento. Que te vean cámara en mano y ya! Te conviertan en su fotógrafo particular por un ratico.

Maybe they are shy taking pictures on public. HAHA This makes me remember when the time we saw a photographer on the street and we also ask him to take Picture of us, some of my friends are also shy to take picture at first 🤣 but it went well though.
In fact yes, they were very shy, especially the boys, but they wanted to take pictures anyway! It was a battle between shyness and desire! Luckily the desire to take that picture won out, at least for a minute. When I told them, OK I got it, they jumped off the wall as if they had springs! 🤣🤣

Aveces algunas personas no quieren que las fotografíen y resulta que te paso todo lo contrario jaja, es una grata sorpresa porque todas las fotos quedaron muy bonitas
