New Mall and Ancient Roads

A new mall had opened on a reclaimed area near the port. There used to be barbeque restaurants on that same shore that just got demolished for the future plans of the town.

These boulevard beside the beach held an importance to us who lived in Baybay City. Not only today but about a century or so ago.
These shores were once used by the Spaniards as a highway as they registered the town as a part of a then colonial province of Spain. These highway are the rumoured to be the Spanish road where the entire town was built. Our ancestors might have heard or seen them traveled these roads before that even today the land bear witness of this anomaly for a lot may still heard the galloping of horses and as they run through these roads as if it were today.

This picture is actually taken about a year ago just after the mall had opened. The two girls on the photo are my sisters. We visited the newly built mall knowing that the place might not be bigger and better as those on the other cities but this new place is ours. This mall is built along our ancient roads, this local feel reminds us of our childhood and as the sun started to set there on the same heights were we used to dine together on the old wooden restaurants it gently reminds us that we belong here this place had been ours for a long time now. This same sunset on the west is the same as our ancestors seen.

The old wooden restaurants might be gone and the smell of barbeque mixing with the sea breeze now became a memory but the sea is still there just like the port and the old lighthouse.

These people are again my sisters, this is one of those roads that were mentioned above and this is the usual scenery of our town. The shores are the ideal pathway before because the entire province probably is still a jungle then.
