Christmas Season

Hey, Hivers!
Its been almost a week since i last posted but it already feels like a long time ago. As much as i love hive, i also need to rest and recharge from posting to avoid being burned out. Now, I'm back with a whole lot of energy and enthusiasm. So, what did i miss?

Its Friday again, end of the weekday. This beautiful lighting is in Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu. Almost all the malls and establishments here in Cebu are Christmas ready. I don't know if its the same in other regions in the Philippines or in other countries, but right after Halloween, people are quick to move on to Christmas season. In fact, since the start of September, or - BER month, news anchors in TV are starting their countdowns till Christmas.

When i was younger, what i look forward to during Christmas is the exchanging gifts or manito manita in school and with family and relatives. I remember always putting "school supplies" as my top wish list. Receiving crayons, pencils, pad papers, and stickers gave me so much joy already. My least favorite thing to receive are stuffed toys or teddy bears because i don't know what to do with them. Nevertheless, when someone gives me a gift, i always treasure them because they are of sentimental value.

Now that I'm already an adult, what i look forward to during Christmas is my time for rest and break from work. I still love opening gifts, but i value my resting time more now. I also love watching Christmas themed movie in Netflix especially when there's snow and a fire place involved. It makes me feel the Christmas vibes even more.

It's only a week till we enter a new month. I cant wait for December!
