A Short Trip to Carmen Copper Mining | Toledo City
I recently went to Toledo City for a work related trip. Our client was kind enough to tour us around the vicinity of Carmen Copper Mining Corporation, a company that primarily produces copper and exports copper concentrate in the country.

According to the staff attending to us, the company provides all their employees and their respective families with food and lodging as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. All of them live in a compound where everyone know each other. Within that compound is a Club House where most of the gatherings are held.

We had our lunch at the Club House with our client administrators. As a visitor, i didn't speak much and only listened to the conversations. In their conversations, i learned that Toledo City is prone to landslide since it still has a lot of underdeveloped areas. They were greatly affected by Typhoon Odette last December 2021 too. Being one of the last cities to have their electrical wires fixed, people in the community have no choice but to unite as one in managing the limited water supply and generator. They also mentioned that there are monkeys roaming around the streets of Toledo which amazed me because I've never seen a monkey in real life. In our City, monkeys are only found in the zoo.

After lunch, we went back to the office and finished our work.
And that ends our mini adventure in Carmen Copper. See you in my next blog, friends!
Sending some love and light,
-JaneXOXO

Wow, very interesting place. Thank you for sharing a little of your trip with us 😊
It wouldve been more amazing if we were able to go inside their museum. But unfortunately it was close that day. Thanks for dropping by😊
I like work-related travels at it gives you more exposure and experience. Also let's you keep going. I'd be happy to roam around the PH (or even abroad) and continuously learn. :)
