Mom's First Trail To Antarctica

Something awaits you at the trails to Antarctica. When I saw this trail after our Oceanarium adventure, I remembered My First Polar Adventure at Ocean Park Hong Kong. I was more excited to show the place to my mom, even though I knew it wasn't as pretty as in Hong Kong. But I was certain that it would be my mom's new experience again. I bet she was more excited to see penguins.
Let's keep moving forward!
Of course, we did and passed through snowy terrains. Nope, it was just the background.
I initially expected something similar to Ocean Park Hong Kong, but unfortunately, I was disappointed to see only one kind of animal, the penguins. However, I understood that it would be hard to keep polar animals in the Philippines because of its tropical season. I even wondered if penguins survived longer in their refuge because it was quite hot inside, contrary to what I expected in freezing temperatures. It's the Philippines anyway, so I wasn't concerned much with visitors but with penguins and, of course, electricity bills, lol.
The cute and agile penguins seemed to showcase their skills to visitors. They aren't new to me, but I always adore them. The other one even gestured his head toward Mom's hand, as if doing mano po, a Filipino gesture showing respect to older people and the elderly. It was a perfect pose, not the shot, though. Just excuse my bad camera. My mom was so happy to see the penguin's gesture.
It wasn't just my mom who looked happy seeing penguins for the first time, but my little nephew too. If he can only talk, he has a lot of words to say. This little guy loves adventure too. At the same time, I was happy to be part of my family's new adventures and happiness. I hope we'll be complete next time.

Only penguin 😮💨. I think it would be better if there were more creatures and it could be more enjoyable.
I hope your mother enjoy their and gained you experience.
By the way, I have never seen penguin in front of my eyes.

I'm sorry that the animal exhibit wasn't what you expected, but as you say, maybe it's not the right place for them.
The penguins apparently enjoy their stay, they are restless from one side to the other

At first I thought you went to Antarctica but after dwelling into text I got to know that you are there in Philippines. Moreover, it is still amazing that they had kept penguins there. I am imagining that it would be lovely to see penguins skills. I have never saw them in real.

This water park is wonderful
All in all, it's a complete marvel to be able to have such a close opportunity to get to know a little bit of Antarctica.

I can see why there isn't a lot artic mammals and other cold sea life there. I don't recall from your HK ocean park visit was their snow (artificially made) in the exhibits?
Speaking of artic animals I got bad news, the polar bear is no longer in the Omaha Zoo. It was moved to Kansas City I guess quite some time ago. I go to Kansas City on 18-20 December, if it's not freezing cold I might visit 😊 💚!HUG

I guess they are artificial since it doesn't snow here 😅 but it was freezing inside the polar adventure.
