Lock Your Love At Love Lock Wall (and Oxy)

Locking up love and throwing the key is probably a common concept in many love lock spots around the world. This tradition is followed by many, as they believe that love will last forever. I know one in Hong Kong, but it needs to traverse a sea to get there. It's the Love Lock Wall on Cheung Chau Island.
On my way to Tung Wan Beach from the center plaza, I opted to stop by this wall to take some snaps. I've been to this place, probably three times just to see new locked love notes.
This mini maze wall of iron fence is full of locks and heart-shaped wooden plaques with different inscriptions and paintings from different couples, groups of friends, and families. Some have cute paintings of couples and families, and there are even pets. And some are written wishes for their loved ones. It made me feel a little sad at the same time as I have no one to lock my love with, lol. Maybe lock love for myself?
The opposite shop is where to buy the wooden plaques worth HK$45 each if I wasn't mistaken because it was a year ago when I asked, so the price might have changed by now. The shop also has cute and unique souvenir items which I featured in my Market Friday blog.
The Love Lock Wall isn't the only attraction on the way to the beach but as well as some cafes and souvenir shops. I was looking for a cafe that day and I stumbled upon Oxy, a unique coffee shop with a concept plant and coffee. Unfortunately, they have limited choices of food and space, so I opted to leave the shop. Several staghorn ferns are hung on the walls which are the perfect backdrop for photography.
More souvenir and cafe shops can be seen along this street going to the beach and each has a unique concept.
This is just a small island. But packed with beautiful places and unique cafes. Did you like the love lock?

Love lock wall pretty neat. If I was on the wall it would be a singular picture of myself. Self love but I don't know if I want to lock that in just yet, there's always that chance I find someone, haha. Also I'm sure you'll find someone to lock in with.

It's a little scary to lock up love and throw away the key. I prefer free things. But the pictures are so cute and colorful. It's a nice place.
Those are lots of locks sis! I love the heart-shaped ones. They seem to last longer than the metal locks which can rust.

The love lock wall is looking very beautiful but I have never seen that kind of wall at any time except in movies. Although I don't believe in such kind of thing but I see nothing loss also believing such kind of thing. At least that kind of thought seems cute in my eyes.

Awwwee, love locks never gets old. Bet, doing one in famous places has always been on the bucketlist of couples. I'm not sure if there is one in Cebu, makahanap nga. 😅
