Back on the WEDNESDAY WALK after 986 days
It's been a long time since I've participated in the Wednesday Walk initiative. To be exact, since February 26, 2020. Time definitely flies by and you don't seem to notice, but the mirror does. Hahaha
Although, as long as one has life, I think it will never be too late to come back, at least once in a while, as long as one has something to share.
Sure, I wasn't totally absent from #hive, but I did significantly base my participation in many wonderful communities on this one.
I really enjoy the photographic art exhibited weekly on Wednesday Walk. So it's a challenge for anyone to keep up.
Of course, I know it's not a formal competition. It's just enjoying and sharing experiences.
But I also understand that at least sharing your photos should bring a perspective and concept to the readers.
So yesterday, I had the idea to invite my daughter to walk around where we live looking for the supposed urban art on the walls.
The first to capture my attention were the continuous symbols incomprehensible to me traced on the gate of an abandoned area I saw some. Perhaps it is a hidden message condemning an unfinished state work.
How many times did I pass in front of it without stopping to think about this one?
Putting myself in the shoes of the sketchers with cans of paint.
From the comfort of your apartment, and in the passage of the same beaten path, sometimes one goes blind.
So my daughter said to me, "Dad, let's walk the halls between buildings" I replied, "Great, let's hunt Graffiti.
I wonder what the young men armed with paint cans were thinking?
Sure, I see an expression of rebelliousness deteriorated by time and humidity of a mountainous area.
Yes, even recreational areas for children are in neglect or abandonment.
Yes, there is a reality beyond your safe little world so close to you. Just see more than the obvious and reflect.
Beauty sometimes hides under a layer of presumed ugliness, if you analyze what causes it.
In any case, the important thing is to smile at life because we are here enjoying the here and now.
It feels good to be back following @tattoodjay's idea again. I had forgotten how good it feels to walk on Wednesdays near where you are and write your impressions to share it with people like you.
Have a great day.
All pictures were taken by me with a Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, a gift from my daughter (the first smartphone she was able to buy with her job).
Nice to have you join again
I love seeing artful graffitti, but also the ones like you share here which I think some call tagging I find interesting always wondering what they are trying to say or represent
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk
Thanks to you, my friend.
